I’m still having a lot of pain. I take Vicodin day and night. The Vicodin has done nothing for the pain but everything else is making me nauseous. I take Vicodin, go to PT, come home, take more Vicodin. In fact, I think the Vicodin is messing with my moods and not making things look too bright.

I went to see my OS today and he dropped a bomb shell, another month of crutches and absolutely no driving. The good news is I get measured for a new brace. One that isn't so heavy and big. No weight on my knee, no bending of the knee unless I’m in PT. My range of motion is only 30 degrees anyway. This was my knee last week and it doesn’t look any better and is even more bruised then this. It might be triggering so be careful. I’m having pain deep inside close to the bone which I didn’t have before. But he said he had to do a lot of work last time and remove some loose bone fragments.

It’s going to be below zero tonight and the next few days. I haven’t been able to get out and put hay out for my ferals. I’m so afraid they won’t make it. The wind chills are supposed to be 20 below the next few days. I hope they can find some place warm. So that's got me upset.

I’m sleeping 12-16 hrs a day, I have no appetite, I feel miserable, I can't concentrate on anything, and I want to cry most of the time. I haven’t even turned my computer on in two days. I’m reading books I shouldn’t be reading. I’m obsessing about something but just feel like I can’t anymore.

I still have some catching up to do here.... I did read your other thread about the surgery and painful PT and having to stand right afterwards because of the knee.... :eek:

i have not gone back far enough yet to know about "the accident" besides knowing there was one. i'm so sorry. this is really terrible. and your knee does look painful! :(

could you perhaps check with the docs to see if they can give you anything instead of Vicodin? especially if you feel it's messing with your mood - that's no good :(

i don't really know what to say other than that you have my heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery, and i hope you can manage to keep your head above water mood-wise. that is rough when one is in great pain.

you have been through so much i just feel like it's not fair! if nothing else i know you are a really strong woman, and i believe you can get through this too, as much as it sucks.

that does look painful...are you allowed to use ice to help with the swelling, taking any advil to decrease the inflamation?
you can take that inbeetween pain pills if I remember right, ask your doctor.
I wish I could send you some healing energy...
