May I ask for Prayers

Hello everyone,
I think most of you know I've been having a lot of pain and I think some depression for a while, but tonight this post is not about me. It is a sincere prayer request for my dear father. I got a call 2 hours ago that he has been taken to the ER. He is 78 and his name is Richard. My sister says he is very ill and he fears he will not make it through the night and she thinks he may be right. He is in the ER and I have had no word. I'm just praying and waiting. I told her to give him confidence that he will pull through. I also told her to have my mom pray with him so he will feel safe and protected. I don't want him to be in fear and pass. My sister says he looks real bad and she is very worried. He has been sick for a week and he has suggest to me on the phone, he thought he might not make it through this one. He has had open heart surgery, 3 heart attack, and a stroke. He has a very difficult time breathing all the time. He really doesn't do much physical, but he loves and cares for his greatgrandchildren. But I believe in miracles! I really do love this man. He is the father of 4 boys, and three girls. He is also a much beloved grandfather and greatgrandfather. I know many of you are struggling now and I don't want to burden anyone. This man is one of the kindest most loving fathers ever. Your prayers will be appreciated more than you will ever know.
I Thank you! And his Grandchildren thank you! LOVE Di

Hello Di

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad, that can not be easy for your family
and you not being there with him, must be so hard, I can hear the love you have for your Dad and he sounds like a very good Dad, Grandpa, Hubby,
and he has had his share, of health problems and has pulled though them
I can feel you pain, and will pray for him also,

please keep up your hopes up, I am worried that you will have a bad flair, I know that is not easy, I have a great Dad also, that I love very much, and do not know what I would do if something happen to him, or my Mom

Hugs to you and keep up hope
Kelly

Di,
I am so sorry to hear about your father's declining health. I, too, will pray for him and for your whole family during this difficult time. I can only imagine how scary this must be for you all. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." While things may look dire in the "natural realm", God has every moment under His control. It is so good your Mom is praying with him in the room....."and the peace of God that transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus".

Di, know that your forum family loves you and offers up our support to you. Please keep us posted on not only his condition, but yours as well. We are all concerned about you. Remember to take care of yourself in all of this. Write when you're able.

Hi Di,

Thank you so very much for letting us know what you are going thru. I'm so sorry about your father's health. I believe in the power of prayer and our caring heavenly Father comforts us and responds to our requests for help and guidance. He sounds like a wonderful man and father. Your caring a kind qualities taught from him have been with you a long time. I always like reading your letters and talking to you.
These really are very difficult times, with so many trials facing us now and in times to come. Please know I'm thinking of you every day and know how much you are encouraged by your friends here and by your faith. Please take care, With love, Loretta

Means so much!

Out of all these 20 years of pain, my greatest reward is to be associated with the most compassionate, caring people anywhere! Thank you all for your prayers and being here to support me during this trying time. My father is very slowly improving and I am so thankful. I am very grateful for all the kind words and uplifting support at this time. I am away from home currently so I must keep this short, but please know how much I feel blessed to have you all on my side. Thank you. all You are the best. Love Di
