Brain Not Working Today

This isn't really a vent but my body and brain feel like jello today -- not necessarily attributable to MS but I knew all of you here would understand!

Anyway, my listlessness caused me to go to Google and type in "brain not working today" and it returned 22,700,000 results. So I wanted you to know we have lots of company. :D

WOW!!

There are so many of us!

I have dumb- "donkey" attacks where my brain just goes in neutral for awhile but fortunately it doesn't last too long.

My brain went on vacation and forgot to take my body with it.

Are they having group vacations without us???

SO NOT FAIR!

I am so very understanding right now. I seem to be I'm going through the same thing.

It must be contagious because I'm right there with you.

Last night a commercial for Lowe's came on and it showed various pictures of the Lowe's logo with a "T" at the end.

Now, the "T" in these images was a broom handle, a little girl drawing it on a fogged up window, a person standing with their arms outstretched. Different everyday things that can resemble a "T".

Okay....I didn't get it. After the commercial was over I piped up and said "Why's the "T" there? What does it mean?"

My son Kevin said "it spells "lowest" Mom. They're advertising that they have the lowest prices. Get it....Lowe's....lowest." I think I scared him!!

It made perfect sense to me then....I just didn't see it during the commercial. :o

Much like the time I asked the produce manager at the grocery store what a Pine Apple was. I was used to seeing it written as Pineapple. But their sign said "Pine" on one line and "Apple" on the other. I asked what kind of an apple was a pine apple. :o :o :o He looked at me like I had three heads!

Why does my brain do things like that to me.....especially when there are witnesses!

We all have those days weeks, or even months. I have only managed to learn about 25% of my student's names this semester.:Scratch-Head:

Sometimes watching movies with plots twists and subtle stuff I just don't get it. Mental math during a fast moving card game makes me realize I'm slower than the others.

Kitty, same here...my DH looked at me like I had lost a screw when I said I didn't get it...
the cog fog ride should be included at Six Flags!! Then we wouldn't feel so alone...

Add me to the list, BG! The total is now 22,700,001.
I make lists to remind me of everything, but then I missplace my lists!!! :Sigh: :Ponder:

You all are so funny! :D :D It wasn't even exactly a forgetful feeling that day -- I honestly felt like my brain was complete MUSH!!! (The forgetful/absent-minded thing is EVERY day, LOL!)

Reading a few of these reminded me of a birthday card I have that says:

"You know you're getting old when you walk into a room and forget what you came in for...and you're in the bathroom!"
