Bachelor reality show

okay. I admit that I kinda followed this. I usually do but I was not a fan of the guy that was chosen. I had a problem with having a child involved but I caught the final episodes.

There I am watching and getting all teary eyed for Melissa. Such a pretty and sweet girl and she won the heart of the Bachelor.

Cut to the After Show and he dumps her.

WHAT A JERK. And the blond bimbo is just that A BIMBO.

ok. just a Stumble Inn Rant.

SandyC 03-03-2009 05:57 PM

LOL I am anxiously awaiting tonight's part 2. They should never propose on that show, ever! If I were Molly I'd have kicked him right there.

Curious 03-03-2009 06:42 PM

LOL

Lil"monkey and I watched it last night. We didn't watch the season. We would hear a morning radio station talk about it.

Boy, I hope Molly strings him along them dumps HIM on TV.

What a faker. His crying scene rated a zero.

Now y'all be good tonight so I don't have to Mod during part 2. Or we could all watch and post while we watch. :D

Jappy 03-03-2009 06:53 PM

I watched from the first till yesterday.

I didn't care for him when Deanna dumped him on the Bachelorette

This season it seemed to be so set up. It was like he was planning to
do the same thing to someone that Deanna did to him.

Molly is so sweet. I think she even got along better with his son.

I hope melissa pullls the same thing on him.

Crocodile tears were really flowing with this show. :Sob::Sob::nopity:

Jappy

Aarcyn 03-03-2009 07:41 PM

There is a Part 2 tonight? Did not catch that. I am going to check my TV listings.:)

Kitty 03-03-2009 07:46 PM

I can't believe they allowed him to do that to Melissa on national TV. That should have been a private matter between the two of them. She was mad....and I don't blame her.

You could kind of tell that Molly was shocked to hear what he had to say. I still can't decide if it was all set up or if he really did surprise both of them.

Either way....I think he's a baby who doesn't deserve either of them.

What kind of a job does he have, anyway? And what's so special about him? I mean....there are plenty of better looking guys in the world.

Aarcyn 03-03-2009 08:24 PM

I agree, Kitty. It was really awkward and I was angry for Melissa because it seemed humiliating. She had said guys have done things like this in her past. No one deserves that kind of treatment, a public dump.

I kept thinking that if he had chosen Molly, he would have changed his mind and picked Melissa.

Either way, he is a total creep.

The Bachelor Production must be so happy, it has so many of us talking about it. I keep thinking I am not going to watch but then about midway through, I end up guessing who is going to make it to the finale.

I don't expect it to last, I just like watching the process.

rbn4jsus 03-03-2009 10:01 PM

so whoever watched part 2-give us the scoop!
i missed it...so whats the deal? is blondie really giving him another chance?
and I agree on the fake crying after he dumped melissa.

Curious 03-03-2009 10:10 PM

It's on right now....9pm central time.

It's 6 weeks after last nights show was filmed.

hehehe...it's commercials right now. :D

Jomar 03-03-2009 10:22 PM

Really....:rolleyes:I wonder how many of those bachelor show couples have made it long term??
maybe 1 possibly 2?

there is no way 2 people can really get to know each other in that kind of condensed and not a "real life" situation.. Kind of a semi fairy tale setting..it seems to me, no normal day to day living.

plus they have to filter out all the others before they even can focus on a single person.

Melissa seemed to know something was up, in the after the Rose part, she sure didn't seem to be as lovey dovey as she was during the show when she came out.
I just watched last nite and 1 other nite when there was about 6 girls left.

Curious 03-03-2009 10:35 PM

Blech. Boring show. Keeps repeating from last night and the season finally.

I think one couple got married. The first bachlorette. They have a baby.

Not sure about any others.

 Reminds me of shopping in a meat market.

Aarcyn 03-04-2009 10:27 AM

It is all just a beauty queen show, nothing more than a guy getting to kiss a bunch of girls, girls fighting and crying. Rejection, face time on TV and then a "winner."

There seems to be a bit of TV production intruding into the original concept. "Big Twists" that will hopefully keep the viewers returning year after year since the "relationships" do not really turn into true love.

Except for the one bachelorette.

This time around, it felt like a bit of really bad acting. Did anyone else get that? I heard Jason supposedly slipped during his People Magazine interview about the dump being part of the script.

Not sure Melissa had been clued in but it felt as if Molly knew something was up.

I am sure maybe both women knew something was up if the After the Rose Ceremony had no audience.

I turned off the Part 2 within the first 10 minutes when no audience member truly was angry with how it went down. I wish I had been in the audience to say what was on my mind! Some sentence with low life slug dog gutter wallowing stupid creep, etc.:)

Kitty 03-04-2009 10:37 AM

He kept saying how he was in love with both of the woman (Melissa and Molly). If I were either of them I would NOT want to commit to a man who publically admitted to being in love with someone else. It's either one or the other. He proved that you cannot make a commitment with someone if you're in love with someone else.

Every woman's dream......."getting the guy" who's already got another woman in the back of his mind.

tkrik 03-04-2009 12:09 PM

The only "reality" about the show is the reality that there are a lot of jerks out there.:D I didn't watch the whole season but the end gave me a great opportunity to talk to DDs about what NOT to look for in a man and how to identify a liar/faker. LOL

I do think that Melissa knew what was coming. Her whole demeanor when she walked on stage was completely different. No big hug or kiss for her "fiance," no smiles, etc.

There was one bachelor show that at the end they showed bloopers. These bloopers were far more entertaining than the show. They had one girl trying to get the tears rolling and being emotional as she was sent home. Then she messed up and started cracking up. Another scene showed the bachelor and a girl trying to have an intimate conversation and one of the props fell. It was too funny.:D

I agree 100%!!

These women were attractive, had good jobs, seemed to have it "all together" yet they were putting themselves in this situation where they all wanted the same guy. Why??? What was so special about him? Did he have millions of dollars? Was he royalty? I didn't even think he was that good looking. What was the prize??

Jappy 03-04-2009 05:11 PM

I guess when you come down to it, it is just a completely set up
show that the producers are putting together to try and entertain us
fools who watch it.

Probably all of the women are just getting their certain amount of
time to show the public their looks and personality in hopes that they
maybe found to entertain somewhere else. They might be hoping for a
movie contract or some other kind of THEY FOUND ME!!

What is really sad these are supposed to be highly intelligent people,
yet they are willing to make fools of themselves. They do put a few AIR
HEADS on.

I wonder if there is any money involved to win if you get the
most viewer recognition?

This show proved to me what a (blank) I am to have watched it all
these years. NO MORE FOR ME!!!!!!!

Jappy

Aarcyn 03-04-2009 05:31 PM

I think you are right, Jappy. I am sure the producers have a hand in how the show moves forward.

Perhaps originally, it was a reality show based on true human emotion, the attempt to find love even if it was in a public forum.

The phenomenon of the female psyche startled people. I recall that being analyzed by the media.

Maybe the producers felt that repeating the same process without any "new developments" would lose viewership so things began to be fabricated.

That is how it began to feel to me as the series has progressed. Not all the women knew? It is such a isolating experience that it is intensified for all of them?

Wasn't it Andy Warhol that said something about people and 15 minutes of fame? I cannot imagine that Melissa was secure about being dumped like this.

Maybe I am just that gullible though!

Jappy 03-04-2009 06:13 PM

Aarcyn :)

Yes the 15 minutes of fame.

I say now that I won't watch the next show. But I think out of
just pure curiosity I may watch the begining of the show to see what
they are going to try and convince the viewers of this time.

Jappy :D

If anyone is interested in AFTER "After the Rose", here's the link to the email exchange between Jason and Melissa, as obtained by Access Hollywood. And yes, it's real -- Melissa confirmed that today on the Ellen DeGeneres show. (Read from the bottom up.)

Becky21 03-06-2009 01:05 AM

This was the worst season I have ever seen. I think Jason was an idiot to bring his 4 year old son into the show.

I sent CBS an email and told them it was just horrible the way they let Jason dump Melissa on national TV. I told them I thought it was a stunt for ratings.

It just hacked me off so bad. They should have skipped the after show and let Jason break off with Melissa like a real man! He is a wimp!

He is divorced, fell in love with Deanna, fell in love with Melissa and then Molly. Poor Molly, I hope he doesn't hurt her!:mad:

Becky21 03-06-2009 01:06 AM

Bearyola,

Thanks for posting this. I didn't even watch the second night after seeing him dump Melissa. He makes me ill.

WTG, Becky!! :D

Aarcyn 03-06-2009 07:28 PM

ugh. OMG. ewwww. Bachelor Jason and 2nd choice turned fiance are doing a TOUR!!! Oh yeah, he sure loves his son.

And Jillian is the new Bachelorette? The show has gone down, getting worse.

I have so many other shows to watch, thank goodness.

I am disgusted.

All right, fine. I admit it. The wife makes me watch the bachelor as part of our "together time" (read as "time when Strk doesn't get to watch sports, political shows or guy movies and has to repent for any wrong doing done previously or any future wrong doing). Once you start watching, its hard not to keep up with it. Thank God for the ability to fast forward so its only a 40 minute waste of time.

That having been said, I thought this was going to be the best bachelor because the guy got dumped before, he has a kid, and is seemingly a stand up guy trying to find someonoe and care for his son at the same time. Then they put in the weird chick with the daughter who goes out on a limb but doesn't make it. We all felt bad for her even if she was a little strange.

I've never seen the bachelor pick the chick I thought he should pick. However, Melissa (the first fiance) was the one I picked from the beginning and thought he should be with. And, that other golfer chick (the current fiance) seemed totally wrong. Too stiff, not emotionally vested or capable of expressing it. Weird family (not that mine isn't).

Sure enough, he picked the right one (in my mind) and then the show doesn't disappoint by being consistent in that the chick I think it should be loses. The way it was done by Jason was HORRIBLE. And, after all that watching and thinking he's a normal guy who went through a bad time but cares about his son he turns out to be a complete moron. And, he did it all in public. What a tool.

First, if you're 32, don't you know that a 24 year-old probably isn't ready to be step mother. I know, I know, there are exceptions. But, in my mind, no one in their early 20s is prepared for parenthood. You can get there and do a great job but it shouldn't necessarily be a plan except in rare occaisions. Thats my thought. Most people and yes I'm generalizing are idiots. In fact, I'm now dumber for having watched that show (along with millions of Americans). But, I can't see someone meeting a dude on TV with a kid and deciding at the ripe old age of 24 or whatever that she's ready to move to Seattle, be a step mom, etc.

Hopefully, they did this in a way that would not potentially wreck his son.

The icing on the cake was making Gilligan the next bachelorette. If I am forced to watch that show, I may puke. I hope they asked Melissa to be the bachelorette and she turned it down or something.

Bearygood 03-09-2009 08:06 PM

Well, Melissa my not be the next Bachelorette, but she's on Dancing with the Stars!!!

barb02 03-10-2009 07:37 AM

Perhaps Melissa did not want her few minutes of fame to be over.

Thanks Beary! I read that just as I was about to watch the show.

I think you are right, Barb. She does not want her 15 minutes of fame to be over. Her agent has been very busy getting her moment in the sun prolonged. It was funny to hear the boos when the Bachelor was mentioned and the cheers when Melissa danced - I thought she did a good job all things considered.

If she was truly humiliated by the public rejection and that icky kiss by the #2 choice right after Melissa left, then the cheers and the dance experience will be a good thing. The best revenge is living well.

Bearygood 03-10-2009 11:59 AM

I agree -- I don't think she wants her 15 minutes to be over and I actually think it very well might have been MELISSA who leaked those emails! They're not favorable to Jason and well, WHO could have had access to them? Maybe it's not her but it sure makes me wonder...:Dunno:
