Hey Illinois? Do you support medicinal marijuana?
House bill HB2514 passed the House and Senate bill SB1381 is on schedule to be voted on. Jim has been invited to speak in Springfield on the medicinal benefits of marijuana on alleviating pain and spasms.
While medicinal marijuana may not help everyone, it helps many. Jim wants to help many get off hard narcotics and be legally able to smoke marijuana for pain, spasms and other ailments without worrying about legal implications. We are awaiting calls back from our senator and congressman to set up a possible date when he will be testifying in Springfield. So, if you support these bills and live in Illinois, please join us in supporting Illinois to pass the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act. Thank you. |
I dont live in Illinois but Im so in favour of the use of cannabinoids in medicine !!! Yeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh ! Absolutely.
:yahoo: :I-Agree: :winner_first_h4h: |
Be sure to have Jim mention that Columbian gold works best. ;)

Sandy,
I'll get right on it...although I'm sure my conservative reps here wouldn't support the bill. I've never used drugs except alcohol (my adult kids don't believe me, but it's true), so I am a bit skittish about using mj. But I am willing to try it as my medication load goes up to deal with the increasing spasms/pain. So I'll look up my reps and write them...hope it helps...let us know if Jim is called to go before the legislature... |
Not in Ill, but good for Jim!
 I have not tried it for my pain as it's against the law. But I am all for making it available for those who it would help. I just think if there's any chance it helps some people, those folks deserve relief. to both of you! |
We didn't hear from our reps yesterday but will be calling them back today. It could be because it passed through the Senate with only one nay vote!!!! This naysayer has no problem with legalizing mj for those who need it but wants it regulated to where patients would get their mj from a pharmacist rather than grow their own. OK, that's fine, just pass it! lol

Ok, Jim called the senator and they are definitely wanting him to come on down to Springfield. He'll give Jim a call by Tuesday and we'll be set up. We may have to do a quick pack and go. I already have my hotel picked out right across the street from the Capital! They are getting a good guy to come and testify. What better than a disabled veteran with ms who fought for our country to ask his state to relieve his pain and stop making him a criminal?
Stay tuned! |
Just stay away from the skunk weed..
I'm sorry..Was that out loud? :o Good for Jim! You're right Sandy..He's the perfect choice for this little get together! They're going thru the same thing in Congress here in MN..I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! |
If it helps, then they should allow it! Why make it exclusive to those who only want it for recreational use? It should be legal for medicinal use.
|
Yeah! Seems like legal narcotics (Oxycontin, for example) is used and abused, it's highly addictive, and expensive. Marijuana used medicinally has a vastly lower likelihood of addiction if any, and if legalized will probably drop the street price and make smuggling into this country not worth the bother..Sure you'll find people only interested in it for recreational use, but if we took every prescribed drug off the market and made it illegal because of that, all we would have left is Tylenol & suppositories (and I'm not too sure about the suppositories)..

That's right Polar and Wiz! I think all of you should come with us!
PS: And Polar? Yea, you said that that out loud man. lol |
I never smoked weeds, but inhaled enough from my roommates second hands...LOL
with that said, I think as long as it is regulated well, medicinal use of weed should be passed. It IS a natural "herb" and should be used properly. The other concocted unnatural narcotics...well, let's just say that I believe in mother nature. I hope my pain level never gets to the point one day that I'll have to depend on pain meds (although there are days that I feel like I am going to fall apart) I definitely support M for medicinal use. :grouphug: |
