Las Vegas Vacation Pictures!!!
 

Hi everyone,

I'm so sorry for only just getting round to putting these pictures up. The Vacation really took it out of me and I have been in a pretty bad pain flare so haven't been on the computer that much.

All in all though, the Vacation was really good and we got to see lots of very impressive sights!!! We went up the Stratosphere tower as our hotel was close to it, to the Hoover Dam which was really interesting, into Caesers Palace and lots of other hotels to do some shopping, up the Eithell tower, onto a few rides that I felt my leg would be able to cope with, into M&M World, into the Mirage Hotel that has it's own zoo, saw some impressive fountains etc etc.

It's breathtaking how amazing Vegas is and non of it seems real - it seems as though you are just imagining things!!

We were going to go to the Crand Canyon but when my mum had a look, it would cost more to go there then it did for the entire flights themselves and we didn't really have any time so we had to leave it!! I'm sort of glad in a way because I don't think there would be any chance that I would have gone onto the Glass Walkway as it looked waaay too scary for me lol.

We went to see a Magic Show with Pets in it also and that was really good. The clown that did the show got animals doing all sorts of clever tricks and it was so cute as they were animals that he had adopted that were neglected etc. I think the man was on America's Got Talent - i've forgot his name but I think he was from Russia or somewhere near there.

The trip has really taken it out of me and sent my pain up a whole lot but it was definitely worth going!!!!! My dad doesn't really understand what RSD is so that made it frustrating as he couldn't understand why I needed to sit down every 10 minutes and just how bad the pain was. My mum told him to stop it but I still don't think it sunk in that much - he has anger problems towards my mum and will call her lots of nasty names. I wish he would go and see my Doctor but he refuses to go for some reason.

Great pics, Ali!! You look great and so do your parents. How amazing that you got to do and see so many things. Vegas is a lot like a little pod of wonder poked right into the middle of nowhere.

So glad you had a good time in Vegas, but so sorry you have to "pay" for it with increased symptoms. *sigh So young to have to worry about stuff like that!

I've been thinking of you a lot lately because you have been just 5 hours away from me. Wish we could have gotten together, but maybe next time.

Manatton Express Rollocoaster that me and my mum and dad went on - this ride really hurt my RSD leg and arm as it is really wild!!!

A ride at the top of the Stratosphere hotel that I wanted to go on but "Chickened" out of as it was really windy and I knew it would affect my leg. The ride dangles you 1000 ft over the Stratosphere tower and tilts you at a 45 degree angle and you have nothing holding you in other than a lap bar!!!

Las Vegas Strip and Airoplane - this picture was taken at the airport as our plane was delayed 45 minutes but took even longer to set off as someone decided to have a fight on the plane and the Pilot had to sort everything out!!

You really captured Vegas, esp the aerial shots. We flew into Vegas at night and the view was spectacular. I want to go back, but haven't talked DH into it yet.

Did your parent's gamble at all? It's so enticing!

Twink - I really wish we could have meet up! It's such a shame that the plane didn't get in until so late as it would have been really great to have a GTG with you. I only just got your number when I got back - i'm sorry that I couldn't call but will try one day from the UK as it doesn't cost that much really. I really hope that we can meet up one day and if you ever come to the UK, let us know! Love you!

DM - Thank you for the lovely comments!! My parents didn't go gambeling - my dad kept going on about it but in the end chose not to. You aren't allowed to stop with children through the Casinos so it made it pretty hard as I had to keep walking and try not to look at anything or stop if my leg started hurting too much lol. My dad had a walk round the casinos and told me and my mum that some people were putting £1000 in the machines at a time ... how stupid are some people?!?! I wish we had that much money to do that with lol. I really hope that you and your DH can go to Vegas again as it is amazing to look at all of the different things - the only thing my mum said was that she didn't get the "WOW Factor" as much this time as we had already seen some of the hotels but it was still really good!!

My Son got married there, last year on Valentine's Day. :inlove: Full church wedding. Kids are doing that nowadays in the US. Just to be a little different than traditional style weddings. ;)

We were not there, (sigh) but we went to Ohio for their reception her parents had for them. Ohio is lovely, but 8 hours away by car. We stayed for a week in a very nice hotel, not a Vegas one, tee hee, but very classy. They reside in Ohio. I miss them.

They loved Vegas too, just like you and your family did. Dazzling to behold. Thank you Ali for sharing your vacation with us. :hug:

Lady - Congratulations on your son for getting married in Vegas - that is soo great!!! I have seen all of the churches in Vegas and they look lovely and cool ... they are nothing at all like what we have here in the UK! Thank you for the compliment on my UGG boots- they are the only shoes that I can wear now because of my RSD but they are sooo comfortable! I think i'll still be wearing them in the summer if my leg doesn't improve much by then (fingers crossed it will) because they are so soft and warm lol.

I loved the ones looking over the Strip, and seeing you there smiling in front of those amazing statues.

I'd have been hyperventilating, I live in the woods and having that many tall buildings and people around me would have sent me over the edge!

All I can say is WOW!!

I'm terrified of heights so wouldn't be able to experience a lot the sights like you did. Heck, I can't even look out the window if I'm higher up than the second floor! :o

Your photos are all wonderful. I liked them all, but I really love those dolphin ones, and I also liked the ones of the dam.

Great pictures Ali! You did a great job! I've been there and felt like I was there while you were taking the pictures! The fountains at the Bellagio are wonderful and set to music. I hope you got a chance to listen to it!

The M&M store is a chocoholics haven! Or heaven! My sister and I kept going back!

Wow the pics are great! You know I have been twice and never found the M&M store! Actually the second time I went we didn't gamble much we were having too much fun riding rides and watching shows! I am glad you had a good time...and I agree your hair looks great!
