Socks-someone ask about soft socks
There is a site "One Hanes Place" that actually has a sock called "World's Softest Socks"...they are about $5 a pair...I have worn them for years b4 I got RSD but now that I have it in my foot so bad, they are a lifesaver, they last for years, so well worth the $5 but I think you can get 3 pair for like $11...no I don't work for Hanes...lol...hope this helps

I absolutely LOVE these socks....
www.worldssoftest.com You can request a catalog on the site.... I have 6 pair of these socks but will get more when I can.... :) Abbie |
Thank you. I have issues with socks as well. I have so many I bought and don't wear I could open a shop. Also what I find helpful is to turn them inside out and I also by mine bigger sometimes in plus size and I am thin but it gives more room.

Thanks! I just now ordered a couple of pair to try them out. :)

WalMart
WalMart carries some diabetic soft socks too...they tend to be less expensive there. We have discussed this many times on the PN board, BTW.

Twinkletoes,
The only place I know of is Kohls but only in the fall. I just looked a few weeks ago & they didn't have any. And they are divine. Every other pair I have ever tried hurt my feet. I have RSD in my both feet. I can't feel any of the individual rows of threads like I do in all the others I have ever tried & I have tried many many types. Ones that feel so soft to my hands make my feet burn worse. They do hae chenille slipper socks & those you can get even at Walmart, but they are too thick to wear with shoes. The ones at Kohls are actual socks not slipper socks. You can also do a search on line & some stores carry online carry them year round. Once a few years ago I did find some at Walmart in the spring. They are short like crew socks & work perfect when you wear tennis type or running type shoes in the summer. Now days my feet get cold when I wear sandals even. In the beginning my feet were so red hot that I could wear sandals. I also wear leg warmers year round to keep my ankles warm. Good luck! DebbyV |
Medi-Ped Socks
There is a brand of socks called Medi=Ped Socks that are generally made for diabetics but are made wonderfully for our RSD feet and ankles. They come in different sizes and different styles. They are very soft and only run about $3.50 a pair. I have been able to find them at Walmart as well as some other stores. I would be lost without these socks. I was not able to wear socks for over 6 years and these were the first and ONLY socks I have been able to wear. You might want to check these out. They stretch very nicely. :)

My socks were delivered today!
They are very soft and warm! Someone had suggested ordering the next size up, and so I did. Next time I will probably just get my regular size. I'm afraid I won't be able to get my shoes on with the big ones! (Haven't tried yet). I really like them, though! |
socks and shirts
I can only wear soft clothes as I have CRPS everywhere. The only socks I wear are THE WORLD'S SOFTEST SOCKS. You can get great deals at Sox Galore. My shirts are mostly Life is Good. They are very soft and although expensive they last forever. And I also like the message. Even with "my monster" life is good.:)
