cut, copy and paste
Hi. I can't remember how to cut a picture or whatever. I can copy and paste.I believe Curious wrote something about it but I don't know what page it is on.I just never had to use cut yet.
Thank you, Doodle bug7 |
I rarely ever use "cut". Only within one page, to move something around.
Say you have a paragraph at the beginning of a post that is long. And you want to move it to the end: Highlight it and cut it, then, paste it where you want it. When you cut...it goes to your clipboard (a storage place). If you log off the clipboard is erased, so when you come back, it might be gone forever. If you copy something AFTER the cut, the cut will go away as well. You can copy/paste the same way....but then you would have to go back to what you originally highlighted and delete it or you would have TWO paragraphs instead, one at the beginning and one at the end. |
not sure is this is what you are looking for
It's the thread Curious did and is stickied at the top of this forum.... http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread7728.html |
What I want to do is cut a signature picture and or change it. When I had a sig pic before, I think Curious cut it for me to help since I was having a problem with it. Doodle bug7 |
Try this one
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread70586.html Your other thread "Signature picture" |
You need to have a program that lets you edit the picture.
Windows Paint can do it but it's not the easiest program to use for cut/paste changes. but i like to use one of these programs {free & downloadable} Picasa - http://picasa.google.com/ or Photoscape - http://www.photoscape.org/ Picasa is easier to learn - it will automatically find all pictures on your computer and add them to the program when you add them on to your computer. there are probable some simple and smaller programs for just resizing and cutting. |
When you open your signature edit box, just right click on the picture you don't want. Then click cut. It will delete that picture.
You can add another one, just by entering the code from glitter graphics. |

basically if you don't have the picture on your computer now you could copy the one you want to change. right click on it and it should have the option of something like "save image as" - there are others but that is the one I use. when you click that one make sure it goes to a place where you can find it - I send mine to My pictures folder. then go to the picture and play around with editing it for size , making more copies, cropping, etc- right click and go to "open with" - there should be a few options to open it with if you have a few programs for image editing- try them to see which one you like best. |
I just took my siggy pic and added some text to it with MS Paint.

open pic with Paint {right click on pic and select open with...}or open Paint and then use file /open {then locate pic that way} then adjust the size if needed - Image /stretch/skew- and adjust percentages - if too small or too big use undo{ in edit toolbar tab} to try again. when you get the size you want- then click on the A in the left side tools area - that is for text box place cursor on pic click once, hold and slide to make a text box to the size you want. when the size it good release the button. below the the tools on the right a box will show where you can click to make the text box transparent or with a colored back ground the color choices are at the bottom of the screen. to add the writing just click in the text box and type if you wan tto choose or try other fonts make sure in the tool bar under View that Text Toolbar is clicked to show. after you type you can try out other fonts and sizes by just clicking thru the font list. then when done click save or just close and it will ask you to save it. if you want to keep the original use the "save as" and make a new name -sometimes i just add a number or letter to the original name. then post your test pic here for display :D |
Lara, I'm not sure what you meant by referring to my other signature question. They are similar but not the same. Can you let me know so I can understand what I may have done wrong?
I always try to learn new things. Thank you so much, Doodle bug7 |
