Totally fascinating! I had never heard of this before now. Put me down for a new brain, lesion free.

It may sound insane, but I'd be willing to consider amputation to grow a new leg that works. This is absolutely fascinating, thanks, Sal!

Amazing.......I don't know what to say!

Thanks for sharing that.

Hummmm . . .

Hummmm . . . Could this have been what Lorena Bobbit had in mind?

I will take a new brain, new spinal cord, let's chop off my massive hips and see if we can grow some smaller ones..... oh oh, can I be really shallow and ask for new boob cells too?

imagine though how many lives could be saved of people waiting for organ transplants.

Yes, especially since there won't be any rejection of the new part, since the Part will be regenerated from the person's own cells.:)

WOW!!!!! That seems like science fiction, or even magic.

Twinkletoes 03-22-2009 12:40 PM

That truly IS amazing!

Do you think they can do a reverse process and make the fat cells in my mid-section degenerate?

Since MS is all in our head, you'd have to start with that first..:D

WOW! As a mother of a transplant recipient, I'm fascinated at all the new technology!

Oh Sal, they've already tried a monkey to human brain transplant.

It didn't help that poor monkey one bit, but AMN has to shave her legs more often.

If you go to their page you can see some of the amazing things they are doing at McGowan.
