I Still Have MS

And I'm still older than dirt..:(

I don't know why but, I thought, naively, that getting a brand new bathroon and new kitchen ceiling, would make me all renewed and all better.

Still having MS, with all the aches and pains that go along with it, kinda takes the joy out of my being joyful..KWIM?

Sigh.......life goes on.

I think I'll go soak my head in my new hand held shower..:D

soxmom 03-24-2009 11:42 AM

awww Sal.....Im sorry your are feeling so poopy.

You really are a wonderful lady....:) I hope you know that!!!

I really think the problem is that your "hunks" left. Hunks keep you
feeling young and groovy;).

legzzalot 03-24-2009 12:15 PM

Yes but now you can lock yourself aches & pains and all in the super pretty bathroom. We should put some pics of the hunky boys in there for ya.

Kitty 03-24-2009 12:55 PM

I kind of feel like that when I get a new haircut or something new to wear......like the MS should just go "poof" but it never happens. I still have MS but just look better with it!!

MooseasaurusRex 03-24-2009 02:17 PM

I used to think that. (Not trying to be a wise-guy or hurtful).

That things outside me would 'fix' me inside. But I expected too much and that always became disappointment when I was reminded it was nice... but didn't change what I wanted.

No biggee. I learned to enjoy what I have.:)

I am the MonSter that MS fears.

NurseNancy 03-24-2009 05:28 PM

The shower thingy is a must for those of us who can no longer play dodge ball when trying to get all parts cleaned.

You're still a Kid and you can't have my bathroom..:p:D

Thumper2 03-24-2009 08:34 PM

Sally  hopefully it's just a big crash after all the excitement of those big hunks working on your bathroom. :D I don't know how old dirt is so I always ask myself "Am I geezing?"

DM 03-24-2009 08:42 PM

I get ya, SalPal!! I have been through so many tests and carp lately, so I went into a store last wk, bought a few really cute Spring tops and guess I thought I'd feel better. Nope, still felt like carp as I was hanging them in my closet.

You know I love ya woman!!!

Taffy 03-24-2009 09:36 PM

Well Sal...I some times feel "dumber than a box of rocks!"

We are in a grand group.

Here...a hunk in your shower for you to enjoy.

You might want to wipe my drool off it first. Sorry.:o

Sally we have been around the block so many times, so it gets tiring at times. I hope it's the weather that has you feeling low. Think Spring! Pretty soon we will have flowers, green trees and grass.

FWIW, I got a new bathroom too. It has the ADA approved higher toilet bowl and both lids come down slowly, automatically, with just one touch. Good for males who leave the seat up too. :D

I love it. No more sore back or knees from a too low seat. That cheered me up.:)

Want to good laugh? I got my new toilet bowl for Christmas with a big red bow on it. And that hand held shower thingy, is super. The pulse setting is great for sore, tired muscles.

I put it on my calves and the soles of my feet. For some reason the pulsing water relaxes my muscles and nerve endings.

Feel better kiddo, we are in this for the long haul. ;)

Taffy, love the picture. Eye candy. ;)

Judy2 03-25-2009 12:35 AM

Awwwwww Sally, I'm sorry you've been in the carpy mode lately. :( I hear ya. Went through those same feelings before I started my "project" -- I'm too old, will still have MS, why bother? But then I looked at my securities statement and decided if the money is flying out the window, might as well spend some and enjoy it!! Like somebody here told me -- age is just a number. And I'd like to get the number of that hunk in the shower!! hee hee

Enjoy your bathroom and new things -- you deserve it!!! :)

SandyC 03-25-2009 01:19 AM

Sally, sorry the ms is keeping you from enjoying the new digs.

I say go back in the bathroom, soak under the new shower and hang the pic that Taffy gave you in there. Something tells me you'll be feeling better in no time!

 :p

Here, I found another one in case you get bored:

RedPenguins 03-25-2009 02:13 AM

wow, suddenly have the urge to re-do my bathroom! However, after painting two of the rooms in my house and refurnishing the family and living rooms....sadly, I must report that, along with Sally, I still have MS. I have people working on my backyard right now. I suspect that when they are finished in two weeks, I will have a wonderful summer playland for my 2.5yo nephew/G-dson.....but still I will have MS.

Sally, I feel older than dirt, does that count for something??

Thumper2 03-25-2009 06:22 AM

Maybe a nice hot bath will make you feel better Sally ;)

Wow, I'm enjoying looking at these wet hunks!

I'm sorry you're feeling down, Sally. Maybe it's just a little slump.

I turned 58 in Feb, and it was quite a shock. :yikes:

Feel better soon, and enjoy all the hunks. :)

SallyC 03-25-2009 12:05 PM

I knew you peeps would know, just how I'm feeling. It's like the lull and loneliness, after the party is over..:(

Thanks for keeping my party going, for awhile longer, and thanks for the cabana shower boys..:D Most women want poolboys but not me...LOL!!

You are all nuts, just like me. I find some odd comfort in that..:p

wow come back and see some hot men in tubs..woohoooo helps my spasticity right away!! hehehe hugsss, sarah

DM 03-25-2009 03:27 PM

I should protest!!! When I redid my bathroom, I didn't get any hunky pics to drool over. (even the ones Twiffy drooled on)

I had 2 ole coots doing my renovations, but I love the results. It's huge and just for me, as DH has his own bath. So, I'll hang the hunks pics above my 6 ft whirlpool, light some candles and whine!! (or should I way WINE???)

Hang in there Salpal~ some of us are in the same boat as you and can't find the cork to plug the leak.

Taffy 03-25-2009 03:50 PM

Oooo-laa-laa! Don't you want to take a bubble bath with Mr. Bubble?:D

doydie 03-25-2009 11:39 PM

It took me forever to emotionally and physically to recover from my family room remodel. It was beautiful, I loved to go down there and relax but I was exhausted. I also didn't have hunks doing it. I had some of those plumbers cracks, if you know what I mean, doing mine. I actually thought of taking pictures and giving them to them just to let them know what they looked like.

I think we need to keep this thread going just to keep the guys coming in here. There are some mannequins in front of one of the stores on the mall and I swear I don't think that guys jeans can go down any further and be legal. My girls got upset at me when I went up to the display one day and pulled them up and make his belt tighter! I eman there are young girls walking around the mall the ages of my granddaughters and they don't need to be seeing this kind of stuff. Leave it for us here on dear old NT!!!!
