Jim's Independence day!!!!
 

We finally got the lift!!! Jim is so happy! The Ramp Up man came today to inspect and approve the lift and all passed!

Look out! Jim's got independence!!!!

LOL Ok, let me see.

1. Jim has rode up and down several times and just stares in awe that he can do this all by himself. He didn't even argue when I said I need pics for the board.

2. If I hear strange noises I will cover my head. Skeery!

3. Pinched fingers? Well, yea I guess. I better watch out for the animals! :eek: Just kidding. It has a stop alert if anything gets in the way.

4. Ours is better than Disney? WOW! That's way cool. Suck it Mickey!

5. I'll have to put his presents way up high. Oh wait! I can put them behind the bar because he can't get in there! Margarita's anyone?

6. Kicker, you wouldn't even see the mess. :hug: Jim just sat down there staring. It's like it's all new.

I was down in the basement with Jim and I said I had to put something up while he went back upstairs. It wasn't until then that I realized I just told him to go on up without me. WOW.

No not at all Judy, they have sheep skin in them. Those are special boots to help keep his feet from swelling. They also help to loosen his achilles heal so the heal can sit flat. That will take time to happen. It's like a therapy boot.

We had a Bruno stair lift, the kind with a seat. With his spasms and leg stiffness we had such a hard time getting him up and down even with a ceiling lift. His legs didn't even sit on the platform and would get caught. The seat was also too small and he barely held on. We had some scary times. It was definately a hazzard. We sold the stair lift to the company that put it in and donated it back to Ramp Up that helped us get the wheelchair lift. :D
