Tornados hit angelrsd's area
 

I got an email from angelrsd and her area was hit by the tornado.

Her home is one of only a few still standing and her town was hit really hard.

Please keep her and and the people in her area in your prayers.

I will tell her if she emails me back. She has no electricity but they are with family.

I did see it go across the screen that the area looked like a war zone.

Tennessee got hit really hard as well as Arkansas.

I did get an email from Carrie,

She said 3 houses down from her there is no houses left and it took her 4 hours to get home to get to her family.

You can go to WSMV.com and see the town and the damage. It's in Tennessee.

When I got home today from shopping and saw it on the news I knew it was her area. I immediately emailed her to find out if they were ok.

I will keep you up on how she is. Maybe she will get on later, but I would imagine there is a lot going on in that area. She did say they had curfews.

Thanks for posting this Ada. I'm sure Carrie will appreciate all the support from her RSD family. I was very thankful to get a message from Carrie saying that her and her family were safe. Also, that their home was one of the few left.

Lets hope all the more unforunate families get the help and relief they all desperately deserve. My son is Search and Rescue and went to Katrina. The pictures he brought back are beyond belief. People really struggled for their survival.

Glad to hear she's OK. That area is only about 30 minutes from my mom. My sister and I were on the phone thru most of it while they huddled near her storm shelter.

Thanks for keeping us posted, Ada. It's terrible to read about what's going on down there. I hope she makes it through!

i wanted to thank you all for the prayers that you have sent out way!!! were all ok . god was watching out for us that is for sure. my oldest and husband were home when it hit. i was in nashville with my youngest .. truly the scariest thing i have ever gone thro in my whole life!!!! i will see if i can get some pictures of here. but basiclly all around is gone for some reason it hit 3 houses up and destroyed everything.

we are staying with my inlaws 2 cities away . we have no power or anything and they said it could be next week before they get it fixed because our power station was the road behind us and its gone ! so we will see what happends.

You can tell how bad it was when you watch it on the news. In one area, I didn't see one house standing.

I was worried about you and I'm glad you all are safe and thank God there were no more then two lost in it. So sad for them and their family.

I am so glad someone posted this. It was close to my best friend & I hadnt heard about it. Now I can call her.

I'm so glad you are ok. Allow yourself to regroup and adjust. I used to live in Oklahoma, and I was there when the big one hit OKC and took out alot of the city. When I saw the news, I first thought about you. Thank you so much for letting us know about you and your family. How stressful to be separated as a family at that time. We lived in Tornado country and saw the devastation, it was very scary to hear the sirens and sound of the BIG T. My husband volunteered in a different state, Mississippi. to help rebuild. This was back in the 70's. Lay low and try to keep calm. Meditation, Prayer, journaling, music always have helped me. We are thinking of you all! Your friend, loretta jewell

thanks to all. yes that was the scariest day of my life being seperated from hubby and daughter and not knowing if they were ok. and then hearing about what was goin on . i was just sick i tell ya .
i used to live in nebraska so know what can happen but i never figured it would be here of all places. but this has been 2 weeks of just straight tornadoes we had some the weeks before touch down but very little damage. they are saying now that it was an f-4 and 23 miles of destruction and about 700-900 home destroyed. its hard to even look.

we only lost food but that is enough for me .. the red cross come today and brought easter baskets for the kids and water and food for us.people are just helping out where they can . and its great.

i been around tornados but never ever this close and god i hope it doesnt happen ever again (knock on wood) .. god was watching out for us. and thank god it was day time or more would of been killed that is for sure.

I keep watching the weather and they say more bad weather is coming through there. Hopefully not any more tornados.

Being from Ky. I can tell you that Tennessee, Ky., Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana are some of the states that seem to get the most tornadoes. I don't think I was ever in one in Ky. but went back in the 70's for a visit and saw all of the devistation in all of those states as we went through them.

I always worry about my family. They have been in the path of many of them. Susan was down there for a visit when one went through years ago. She was about 14.

Ky. just went through those horrible ice storms and I was worried about my family then and now that tornado season is here I am always relieved when I hear from them afterward.

I am so glad you are all are ok and I know it must be a mess there for everyone.

been storming since about 3pm no more tornados thank god!! we are doin ok. tryin to clean up .. not feelin that great imagine that LOL

Remember to listen to your body, don't over do it and pay for it later. I am sure there is a lot to get done pace yourself it will get done sooner or later.
