Carrie,
I have had 3 or 4 so far and the last one lasted about 2 months I actually felt like I was not constantly in pain.. The first day and maybe the next after the block your back will be really painful like it is bruised but the next day u should feel lots better.. I will have to look mine up and see what was the combo of meds injected. I know they should give u versed to relax u . Hope all goes well!! Good Luck Lisa:hug:

You never know if something is going to work for you if you don't try it!!! Wishing you the Very Best of Luck!!

And make sure that you take it easy afterwards for a day or two. I always seem to flare the day after my blocks. Can you get someone to take care of the kids for you so you can REST?

XOXOXO Sandy

i will have another one in july. mine have to spread about because of my pump and cant have anything mixed with my pump meds in spinal fluid.

thanks so much for the support it means the world to me. hopefully tomorrow i will feel alot better. maybe the storms arent helping either !!

Hi Carrie,
Thank you for letting us know about your block and also writing afterwards. I hope you get some relief after the initial couple of days. Have you ever tried HBOT? My Dr. just built a couple of clinics with a HBOT in each one here in Phoenix/Scottsdale. I'm going to try it soon, when he finishes the clinic. I had called a couple of clinics, one in Florida and one in California and am hoping they will give some relief. He is a Neurologist. Insurance doesn't pay for RSD and HBOT. I went to the annual RSDSA meeting here in Scottsdale. Was really good, met a lady who has a HBOT in her home and has been helped greatly with it. I got some written information about the HBOT at the conference. If you or anyone is interested in reading it, I would be glad to mail it or fax it to you. We had 135 in attendance and then the next day was for the Drs. and therapists etc. It was at the Scottsdale Hospital where I was admitted after a fainting seizure from RSD. They are making a DVD that will be available thru RSDSA soon.
Hope the best for you Carrie, know that we all care about you, loretta hugs

angelrsd 05-27-2009 08:18 AM

. Have you ever tried HBOT?

as i was talkin to diana i will not probably not be able to do it because of my pump the change in the chamber could damage it. and that wouldnt be good LOL i have lookin into but i had already had my pump put in when they started talkin about it for RSD .. i think that i am also goin to start doin the water therapy at my Y because my legs are just goin down hill again and this happens every couple years for me. nothing to do with the injection.. im glad that you got to go to the confrence. i bet it was awsome my doc goes to most of them he is on the board of a couple of them

thanks for your thoughts
hugs
carrie
