Pain Banishment Not Pain Management book
How many of you have read this book and what did you think of the info in the book? I found it very intersesting and a lot of info in this book explains stuff that most other crps/rsd books do not.
Have any of you used this STS machine made by Dynatronic? http://www.painbanishment.com/index.htm http://www.paindefeat.com/wiki/PDFT/HomePage |
Mike, I have two friends from another board use the STS machine. Neither of them have had lasting results unfortunately. I guess others have had great results from it from what I have been told. But I have never seen it.
Hugs, Denny |
whatother board are you refering to? i would like to read their posts and learn more.

Dr Rhodes called me back today. We talked about 15-20minutes. The Sts machine is a little spendy but if it works it will be worth it. he mentioned that they have a new machine that can take pictures of your body parts to tell him exactly where to put the leads and what frequency.
he also mentioned sugar diabetes people is what he is working on now and in a few months they will have a 300 person fda trial on reversing(curing) diabetes. I told him that I was going in for hbot treatments and he said that it would not work. i am confused now as the hbot and the sts machine were both looking promising and i dont know which one to try first. mike |

Mike,
I've been a member of this board for a while and read it periodically, but haven't posted in years. However, I just so happened to be reading the board tonight and felt that I should respond to your question. I have used the Dynatron STS for 5 years and am doing excellent. It has been a hard journey for me, but now I am happy to report that I've only had one flare up this year and it lasted about a week. I can definitely tell a difference when I'm using the machine versus when I miss a day so I know it must have some physiological effects. I cannot really even attempt to explain how the machine works, but all I know is that it has changed my life. When I originally saw Dr. Rhodes, I was unable to attend school because of my RSD and now I am in college over 2000 miles away from home. Like any other treatment for RSD, each person is different so it's hard to know what treatments will work for which person. I definitely think it's well worth the money and the attempt especially if you believe it will work and are willing to stick with the treatment. The machine costs less than the combination of procedures I had before seeing Dr. Rhodes. I also know that he's made great improvements in his technology and treatment strategies since I first started and is very good at customizing the treatment for your symptoms. I think that's one of the things I really like about the Dynatron is that it has many different protocols that can be used for a variety of conditions and settings that can be customized to work best for your body. Dr. Rhodes has had success in treating many different conditions from Parkinson's to MS to diabetes. I would suggest watching the youtube videos he has on his website. Feel free to private message me or post if you have any more specific questions. |
Thanks Denny,
I totally understand what you are saying;) Mike Quote:

The only input I can give is when I was at the RSD Walk in Central Park this year I met a group of people who are big supporters of DR. Rhodes. The women who was treated by him claimed she could hardly walk prior to this treatment he is doing for RSD. Now she is perfect, again she claims to be and I hope she is living a full and wonderful life. They all wore "DR.RHODES SHIRTS" and really could not say enough good about him. But as my Dad would say "if it was so good everyone would be doing it". The other question that would stick in my mind is the STS has been around for years and I think it's one of those procedures it either works great, which I have heard great things, or it just doesn't. And I think Jim may have a really good point about him working on all these procedures for different conditions all at once and claiming complete success. I would question that in my head. Mike are you the gentlement who did ketamine infusions in NYC? I think we have or had the same doctor. Just curious and I think it was you. Maybe PM me with the answer. If you don't want to post it here. Good Luck Gabbycakes |

I highly recommend Dr. Rhodes. However, if you dont go see Dr. Rhodes, at least read his book. It is very very informative & interesting. It talks about conections between RSD & so many other things. Parts of it are really over my head, but its definately worth reading. It isnt a long book. It's short & to the point. But, like I said its worth checking out the book even if you dont end up seeing Dr. Rhodes.

Sts dynatronic machine
I used the sts dynatronic machine for about six months and unfortunately had no luck i would be willing to sell my machine at a Greatly reduced rate. I have seen this machines work wonders for many. But i do want to warn others it can make You worse. I would not rule out hbot i tried that as well but could not tolerate due to the air pressure. I cannot fly on a plane as well. I have seen it do wonders for swelling and wounds unfortunately i just couldnt tolerate it.

Have any of you used this STS machine made by Dynatronic? [ Hi Mike, i am asking for $2,650 for the machine. This includes machine that can work with two people with two different protocols at the same time. It has a charger unit cord system, electrodes, and RSD protocols. I tried about 3-4 treatments each day each an hour or two long everyday for approx. 6 months. At first it did help i had RSD full body including internal organs. I also have Gastroparesis, cyclic vomiting syndrome, and Rsd of the stomach among other things. Nothing had ever helped with my pain. 10 days into treatment my stomach pain went from a ten to a six. I had be forced feed for years due to the extreme abdominal pain caused by eating. After the ten days of treatment i told my mom drive to McDonald's i want an egg and cheese biscuit! Nothing had ever taken away my excruciating RSD pain let alone my RSD stomach pain. After three months my stomach pain came back with a vengeance. The second i started using the machine my sleep became non existent which is the opposite reaction of everyone else i met. my pain gradually got worse and i developed dystonia of the hands from where the leads were placed. I had never met anyone there in Texas who had such a bad reaction. But some had negative side affects. Some patients said it gets worse before it gets better but oh does it get better. A lot said they got their live back and it was a miracle. I just wish i could've been one of them. My pain never did return back to it was before the sts but it was only a matter of time before my rsd was going to spread and was already spreading before the sts machine. I did stopping using the machine and tried it a few weeks after that six months of sts use period. Then again a month later and a few months after that. Then randomly but it never helped after that. I just want to be truthful so you can make a good decision. I have seen many get better a small percentage of us got worse and the majority had success stories i hope you are one of them! |
So sorry for the delayed response. My dad is in the hospital with heart problems again.
That looks like a great price for the sts machine. I will have to pass for now as I am about to try some new meds in my pain pump and I need to know if Im getting side affects from the meds. I know there are different versions of the sts. Is this the older version or newer machine? Its great that it made your stomach feel better for those short weeks. I have the same problem with my stomach. Im like you where you try something and if it does work, it only lasts for a short time. I hope you find something that helps you out down the road and Im sure somebody from here will want to try the sts machine out. Feel better, Mike [QUOTE=Rsdawareness123;1084527] Quote:

Hello everyone and welcome to those new members, hope we can help.
I'm curios about the STS machine you guys are talking about,is that similar to TENS units or even SCS, please can anyone respond me ,I had scs and tried tens units with some relief, scs gave me a chance to walk back in a normal shoe with some custom made inserts and ankle brace but I was able to wear shoe after almost two years of ankle another custom made ankle brace and orthopedic surgical shoe , is that different I wonder because I was recommended to add one more scs and I can't handle the surgery for sure this time. I hope you can help me on that. To MJL245 here is a link were you can find some handy information about rsd, hope you can navigate and get a journal to copy all links you get and go back every time you need, welcome and good luck ,Jesika www.rsdsa.org |
