Got the heavy bag up and still freaking over the Contest!
 

So we mounted the heavy bag out back on the porch where the ONLY WOOD IN THE APARTMENT is...And When Jack was up in the attic, well LOOKING INTO The attic he said he saw sunlight in places because it's so cheaply made. 3/4" freakin' plywood and metal girders that look weak to him...It never would have held the bag. It would have brought the ceiling down. And that makes us nervous over Huricane season, if we get hit while living here it's going to be simply awful, we'll lose our stuff because the roof will fly off this place! :eek: :mad:

As for the contest, once Jackie falls asleep I am going to color my hair so it has the night to rest, I don't want to do it in the morning and then do the video, because I dye my hair dark and there will be dark spots on my forehead and what not. I wish I could pin down what song I want to do. I might end up doing two, there is no limit on how many you can do they said. I have it down to three choices, and leaning towards the one Mari Liked, "All I want is Everything" or one I truly love called "When Love & Hate Collide" or one other one that is kinda sexual, not sure I could do it...

What worries me is people's reactions to it, I have had a youtube acct for years and never posted a single video, now I think I'll be posting two. I don't want to get told I'm too old to do this, but I think that is inevitable and WILL happen. Just need to thicken my skin so it won't hurt as much. I really want to win tickets, we hope they would give us three so Jackie and Jack could come because I can't go alone and we do NOT have a baby sitter of any kind.

Oh well, still fun to dream about winning, if they were only picking ONE winner I doubt it would be me, but they are picking TEN winners, so that makes me think I DO have a shot at this. I wouldn't do it otherwise you know?

Just sitting here with color on y hair, gonna blow it dry once I rinse the stuff out and wash it thouroughly that is. I am really hopeful it will look good, I put vaseline on my forehead and ears so they won't be all brown from the color. I just hope the color looks good. I always worry about it going unevenly since I kinda have weird hair at this point. It's like layered but I am growing it out to try to make it one length, getting rid of the bangs. :p

Regarding age: I'm guessing that their fan base ranges a great deal in age -- don't worry about that.

I have been practicing in my mind but can't with Jackie here, he yells "NO singing!" and the only one who can sing is him....Annoying to say the least, that is why he can't be in the video with me. WIsh me luck on this today, I hope I can make it work well. :D

Absolutely! I want you all to see it and hopefully get a laugh or two out of me acting silly. I am dressed in a black concert shirt and black pants so hopefully I won't look so fat. ;) I think I will be doing two songs since I can't seem to pin down one, so I will wear something else for the second video. :) Thanks for the encouragement BJ. :) I don't know if I will get Jack to edit the video and have it up by today or if it will be tomorrow, but as soon as it's posted on my youtube acct I'll link to it here. :D

I did some test video shots today and am glad I did, I need to change outfits and go with something better, the glittery shirt I had in mind didn't show up enough to make it worthwhile so I am wearing the shirt Jackie's got on in the above pic with white jeans. Gonna wear sunglasses and a chunky blue beaded necklace. Should be interesting. No way can I look anything other then fat, so I just have to suck it up and hope for the best. :p

Decided on the song I'm doing, "Promises" so hopefully I can get the gesturing close enough they will like it. I wish I could have Jackie in it with me but I definitely think he'd be telling me "Mom NO singing!" and we can't have that messing up things. :) LOL! ;)

I can hardly wait to get it done, still in the practicing stage and shot some more test footage tonight while Jackie was in the shower. I think I am going to wear an old white concert shirt that has seen better days, I think it will photograph better then the black one. I don't really know. I should have this done by Thursday though because Jackie's last full day is Wednesday and thursday and friday are half days, so I have to get it done before that. :)

It sounds like you are having a blast with this Pam. I'll be sitting on pins and needles waiting for the video :D I bet you don't sing that bad. :hug:

I think I sing pretty good, but I smoked for over a decade and that took its toll on my voice, but even so, I think you all will enjoy seeing me rocking out! ;) I can't wait to get it done, but I still need to practice my moves, because I want to imitate Joe's moves. I need more then just the awesome banner to win this one! :D

I had more but my ex-hubby too my Pyromania shirt, I bought a BAD replacement at Walmart a year ago and I mean bad replacement. So from the Hysteria Tour I have three. I think me in one and the banner behind me with my acting or trying to act like Joe in that video will be enough, it just has to be enough. ;)

Was having trouble moving my arms around and was like "DOh! THe arms COME OFF this chair!" so once I took those off it was a LOT easier to flail around like Joe in this video. He's a flailer...LOL! ;) But seriously, I practiced for about two hours yesterday and feel better about it. TOday Jack wants to go to the big pool and I just don't. I think it's gonna rain though so that will be cool. :D

If I get this done tomorrow and Jack gets it edited for me and sends it to me I should be set to upload tomorrow to my youtube acct. Once I have I'll post the link here. :D Feeling better with my one tone hair color too. :D Going for a half-pony tail look with my white jeans. :D Should look great! :D

We are having weird rain patterns.
(I saw some trees uprooted a couple days ago.)

Usually we get rain in the afternoon but now we seem to be getting it morning or afternoon -- at any time the sky can open up. I hope the weather works out in your favor and you can say home from the pool. :)

I'm not sure if the beads will look right with the shirt I am planning on using now. Depends. I am going to try them and if they seem too much I'll just go without them. It doesn't look like rain today so I think we're gonna go to the big pool. We'll see in about an hour. :p

Well pizza is ready so I gotta run, dr appt with Jackie went well, we droped down the risperdal another .25 mg, so hopefully all will go well with that. ;) :D I know the raining has been unpredictable but not torrential thank heavens. Hope you have a great day too Mari! :D

Well it was more fun then I expected. We got rained out though, but it was fun for about an hour. :D Now to practice my Joe moves! YeeHaw!! :D ;) :)

I'm going to be on the road all day tomorrow but when I get back I hope it's all finished :D

The punching bag is cool, Jackie likes it but he's only used it like twice since it's been mounted. I am hopeful I can get it done tomorrow and have it up and ready although I've changed the song again, this time I am set on it though and doing "When Love and Hate Collide" since it's a microphone less with a lot of Joe Elliott flailing I can immitate. :D

As much as I like the one I was gonna do and practiced for I just can't get the moves down FLUIDLY like I need to to make it look effortless and practiced. I think I can with some practice tomorrow morning, get WLAHC done and finessed. :D Thank you so much for all your support! I just know it's gonna impress the band. Especially since they have a line "I got your number on my wall" and I plan to gesture to the banner and nod-I just have faith they will want to see me and meet me again. I don't have faith Jackie will NOT melt down and insist on leaving though, so that bothers me. Oh well, have to take it as it comes....;)

Well I wasn't comfortable singing, so I just gave it my all lip synching to the song I felt worked best "When Love And Hate Collide" So now all there is to do is for Jack to edit it on the computer and send it to me. Should be awesome! I loved how it came out and can't wait to see what you all think!~ :D WOOOOO HOOOOOOEY!!!! :D
