PN and ReBuilder-effective ???
The neuropathy in legs and feet is worsening, I found the site on ReBuilder and have searched for any content unrelated to the manufacturer or other sellers. Unable to find any reports etc... Would love to hear individual experiences for or against the efficacy of this device.
Then please offer any useful suggestions on how to introduce it to one of my 12 doctors who will not call it "snake oil quackery". Maybe it is- maybe it could help me. I owe it to myself to find out and if any group would be able to tell me this is it. Thanks for all the informative and supportive entries on this forum. Wonderful! Understood at last! Also anyone found any help with fasciculations(minute involuntary muscle twitches) of the lower legs? Along with restless leg syndrome I feel like my body refuses to go into relaxation, rest or sleep mode and I am exhausted. |
Go to the top of the page
On the blue bar that starts with 'user CP' go to 'search' enter... Rebuilder You'll find past posts about it. |
Unfortunately it did not help me. I might sell mine if your interested.

Here is one person's opinion on the Rebuilder:

I had a very unsatisfying 'go-round' with these people about 10 years ago, before the slick website, and when they were sending out promotional VCR tapes made in someone's basement or garage with a home recorder.
The pix of the product were long shots (its a small device about twice the size of a cell phone) and you never could what the controls were, or tell what it was - that you got for your $600-$800 (but $200 off if you bought it within the next 48 hrs!!), except a plastic foot bath and some sort of 'control'. they were hot on selling the (overpriced & ridiculous shipping $) additives for the foot bath (I think epsom salts work... or is it baking soda?) and other salves or cremes. I came to the conclusion that they were 'snake-oil' salesman, but have since found out that they do honor the money-back warranty.... if you meet the requirements. |
There are some that swear by them. If you do a search you may find some that said it help them greatly. If not do a search on this site:

Assesment of rebuilder-snake oil
Sending out a great THANK YOU to all the folks who took the time to provide the links to some very darkly amusing stories of the modern snake oil sales of this overpriced, over-hyped devices. I had called the hospital neuro- rehab unit and spoke with the head therapist. Never heard a whisper about the thing. Together with the info on this site I am making progress toward being proactive with options which will help. I feel hopeful in a more realistic way. What a great support this site is!! Again many thanks to all and hope this updates the question of efficacy once and for all. Onward...one step at a time....

Hello,
You can put me in the "Been There Done That" catagory. I believe it helped for a while, but its been over a year since using it. Maybe you would be better served doing foot soaks using Epson salts. JMO Lanny |
I too have been trying to determine whether the "Re-Builder" is worth the time, and money. Can anyone tell me if the ad claiming to be "FDA" approved, and "paid for by medicare" are true statements, or purely hype? I would love to be able to either see about getting a unit, or throwing the ad in the "trash bin" once and for all. Thanks for any help.

Seems it is for all of the 'TENS' type units, not this particular one. Don't know about the Medicare part. Guess you'd have to have a doc Rx it for you & demand that it be part of your therapy before they'd pay- if they do at all. |
Did Melody's husband try this or was it the Tens? I have heard the Tens helps some people. I could not tolerate it since it is placed on the body parts that are impacted but for others.
Gyrene I think many respond different. I am not sure if it is covered but you may want to ask your doc and I would think you would need an rx no matter what. |

Have you looked into iodine light therapy? |
John found it effective
John used it and had immediate reduction in pain. He dropped from a about 4 -5 on the pain scale down to 1 -2 within the first few weeks. Since he's doing so much better now, he hasn't had need to pull it out of the closet in over two years so I don't know if he used it more if it would provide a benefit to him anymore.

I noticed with me though it helped more if i used really low so that it was subtle , I suppose like biofeedback a bit . Other than "entheogones " it was the only thing that did help me relax . If you can find one cheap or rent one id try it. Something else I wanted to try myself is the H-wave , but Im not in the US to go to anywhere that offers it ( its even more expensive to buy ) m |

I have used the rebuilder for months at a time, but I don't believe it has helped me. The seller of RBuilder has good credentials, but credentials don't help my feet[
