What's your favorite food?

Just thought this might be a fun poll. If yours is not listed, please share it with us.

I guess I like American the best, but I do enjoy a smathering of ethnic delicacies..:p

Erin524 07-14-2009 09:13 PM

Greek, Italian, American.

I like Middle Eastern too, but there's not that many good places like that here.

I'd like to try Ethiopian, but I cant find any places yet in any areas that I live in or have visited.

karousel 07-14-2009 09:28 PM

Chocolate but since it's not on the list I choose Italian. Mmmm now I am craving pasta.

FaithS 07-14-2009 10:45 PM

Wish poll would've been set up to choose more than one. I chose Chinese, but also really like Mexican. Indian is good, too, but we don't have it in our community. Eat it very rarely.

I love Mexican food but Jamaican food is good too. :)

braingonebad 07-15-2009 05:31 AM

Chose Mexican but also Italian. Went out with my bro and his family, mom and my dh when he was in town to a Mexican restaurant that had really good food and a mariachi band that came to the tables. Very cool. The place was beautiful too.

We do not have a wide selection here either, but where we're moving to there is about every kind of restaurant you can think of so we'll be trying them all.

Leftovers wasn't listed, so I chose "other." :D

My favorite food is anything I personally didn't have to cook. :)

:I-Agree:

Not that I'm lazy, just my cooking is pretty bad. Okay I'm lazy too.

I love Italian food but then again, I love just about any type of food LOL !!!

I love all of the pizzas that Italian restraunts make, as well as their pasta dishes. I could live on pizzas if I had to, though I know that wouldn't be entirely healthy unfortunately!

I also love Chinease food. We used to have Chinease every Saturday but have cut down on that quite a lot now and just eat it every now and again, as a treat. I love their sweet and sour dishes and the noodles and rice.

Fun thread, thanks for starting - it's making me hungry now :D!!!

I chose Chinese, but if you put anything on a pizza, I'll probably eat it.:D

doydie 07-17-2009 10:33 PM

I wish I cold have chosen all of them. Well I have never had Thai. I don't think I would like the food from India and traditional southern food with Cajun. Which country claims ice cream and chocolate. Oh, any kind of brad. of course Sam's was giving free samples of bread that had jalapenos in it and I passed that up.

I found it hard to decide which I liked best as I like most foods and I'm very easy to please... but I finally chose seafood although I don't like all seafood.

I like lobster and prawns, scallops and most fresh fish, but I don't like crab or abalone or mussells. We eat a lot of prawn dishes at my house when they're available because a) I like them and b) they're always very cheap. I'll sometimes grill a nice piece of steak and make a creamy prawn & garlic sauce to go over the steak. (we call that surf & turf). That's easy to make and one of hubby's very favourites.

I enjoy most Italian food in fact there's not a lot of Italian dishes that I don't like, but I also like Greek food..... and almost all Asian food as well! We cook a lot of Asian dishes at our house especially Thai food, which is super yummy. We cook Chinese and the occassional Indian dish and of course there's also Australian!

So far the only food that I didn't really like was Turkish. (my apologies to any of our Turkish members). It's probably not the food but maybe the spices didn't suit me. I'll probably try that style again one day, but for now I tend to stick to known and favoured flavours.

I like almost every type of food, so it was very difficult to choose a number one for this poll.

watsonsh 07-18-2009 10:32 PM

You know, I think I'd like more Thai, chinese, asian food if I knew what it was - what was in it. I'm a little intimidated by food I don't understand. How 5 yrs old of me to think like that, but there it is.

:o

My Irish tummy also does not do well with really spicy food. Some of those spices will take the varnish off the table, is that really good for ya?

:p

I would love to find a restaurant around here that serves authentic Mexican food! We used to live in San Antonio about 15 years ago, and that's the last time we had good Mexican food!

Here in my area, there is a Mediterranean restaurant that is our favorite. Wonderful food that is also very healthy, and my primary care doctor and his wife are part-owners.

Next on my list would be American. A big and little bit greasy cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate shake. Oh man, I'm getting hungry! :D
