In Feb I had that terrible surgery removing the diffuse oligodendroglioma tumor and a bit of my hippocampus which had been causing my seizures since 1990 and I hadn't had a seizure since then. Wow. Lucky me. In August the epi told me to drive again!

Nine months with no seizures -- nine months.

Nov. 25 I had a partial complex sz but what's one sz, huh? I tried desperately to just ignore it. I did stop driving.

This morning I've had THREE seizures. What's going on? Why? What's happening? Why?

I phoned the neuro surgeon office and I'm waiting - fat chance - for someone to call back. My next appointment there is Jan 22. I have a fuzzy memory of him saying that if I had more sz I would need more hippocampus removed. OMG - more surgery ?!?

Hi Jingle,
My prayers are with you. I also had 2 surgeries and then after going 4 yrs. with my sz. reduced I started having many more sz. for no reason. I spoke with both my epi and neurosurgeon and I was told the reason why I began to have more sz. again was because I was under to much stress and I was going through my change which could either increase or decrease my sz.
I wish you only the best of luck and May God Bless You!

Sue

I thank God for all your kindness -- bless your hearts.

I wrote way too much stuff ------- oh, how I got carried away.
I talked to a string of people at the hospital and they're not concerned at me. I'm just fine.
I am increasing Topamax, going back on Trileptal and they want me to have Lorazepam on hand so they are having some delivered tomorrow.

They'll just do extra stuff during my regular MRI scheduled in Jan.

How scary for you, I know this feeling. I've had only a handful of seizures since my surgery (4 1/2 years ago) and they still freak me out. I'm praying for you. Think positive, miracles happen every day - we're here, right?

Stefie
