Oracort (rx, at least in Canada) works very well. Salt also helps, and salt water rinses.

Owwwwww!!!! I hate those things.....hope yours goes away soon. Wasn't there some correlation made in one of the many "MS theory's" about the herpes virus that causes canker sores and the same possibly causing MS? Somehow I bit the inside of my cheek and of course now I've repeated the blasted thing a zillion times!! Woe is us!!!! :(

Llysine is supposed to work wonders on such things.
an old home made recipe is Alum POWDER! its used for pickling things. wet your finger, dip it in the powder, and then rub it across the cancer sore. works like a charm. two days and that sucker is history. I used that alot as a kid. |
How's the cankerous one doing today?
|
From cankerous to merely cantankerous. :D
|
Alum is suppothesd to help. I don't get them mythelf, but I know people who thwear by it. :p Feel better!
And NOW I read Deji's post (sorry!) So That's what alum is for (I always wondered) -- now you can have a pickled canker thore! |
All better now! Ssssssssee? :D
|
They're no fun, I'm happy for you that it's gone. When I was a kid, I'd get up to five at a time in different parts of my mouth. Ouch! Not as much of a problem anymore. I'm glad yours in gone.

By the time I found my alum, they were all better. Guess I'd better invest in some Canka or Orajel or something.
