TMX Elmo

Oh my! Can we say crazy?

I cannot immagine people paying over $300 on Ebay for a $39 doll for a toddler.

Can we say crazy materialism?

I bet people camped out at Walmart just to buy the doll so they could sell it on Ebay.

Can we say greed, pathetic, self-centered.......and those are the nice words.

Maybe there will be plenty for Christmas shopping?:)

reminds me of the cabbage patch doll craze of the early 90's.

I had 3 Cabage Patch dolls in like 1986 for Christmas. One was a preemie. I asked my mom what a preemie was and she told me it was a baby who was born before it was ready. I did not fully understand what a preemie was but I thought the doll was cute and small.

I wish I still did not know what a preemie was.

For some reason, I can't bring myself to buy my kids the new Cabage Patch dolls they have out. It seems so wierd.

Also what is the big deal about another tickle me elmo doll? Now if it was a doll that knew the kid's name, played with the child, and truly interacted, I would pay the big bucks for that because it would be COOL.

Have you seen the new Elmo? I would never have thought about Elmo or any other stuffed anything. All those years are past history..........but....I saw this Elmo on TV this morning and I laughed myself silly. That's all it does as far as I know......makes you laugh and laugh a lot. That's good for any one of any age. I hope you get a chance to see him work. You will crack up, you won't be able to help yourself. IMHO

That is great that he makes people laugh. However, I can wait to get the toy after the "hot! OMG! GET IT NOW AND PAY WHATEVER PRICE NECESSARY! I HAVE TO HAVE IT FOR CHRISTMAS" craze goes away. If it is a good toy, it will be around in a year.

I don't know what to say. I should probably refrain until I see the "new" release of the latest Elmo, only... I collect Elmo. I don't go plunging any $300 or more but... I have these friends who know of my devotion and the giggle factor I get and... well, I am not going to be throwing up any roadblocks if they wish to get me the newest Elmo for my birthday, which is right around the corner (this month).

I will graciously embrace Elmo. That's just meeee.

I remember a couple years ago where a friend doled out $600 for a 4-person dinner. When I heard about that, I was livid! I coulda thought of better ways than to spend the money on a dinner for 4 with way over-inflated prices. But... then, there he was... Hokey Pokey Elmo. My big-ticket gift that year and I loved it! Heck, Elmo coud have just been given to me and skip the darn dinner and I woulda been feeling like I was on cloud nine just the same.

Elmo... I want the new one. I will get the newest one. I love Elmo. Cabbage Patch? No criticism from me. I have one of the earliest releases and she came with a heavy price-tag, too.

What can I say? There ain't much I want from life and few things I do collect and treasure. Sooo... Elmo: Bring it on :D.

P.S.: My other Elmos have entertained people whom have come for what they initially conceptualized would be mundane dinners. But... when my huge Tickle Me sat at the dinner table in my dining room, there was not a person who withheld touching his tummy and setting off that giggle :). That Elmo was a Wal-mart (or is it Walmart) find. Someone with me told me that Elmo wasn't going home with me until Elmo said: "Bye bye." Now, Elmo sits in my scooter seat (when I'm not using it) with a safety helmet. I knew Elmo was comin' home!

I made a video of Hokey Pokey and of Tickle Me once they took up residence in my arms. Wait till I get the latest :D. I'm sure to have a bunch of fun! LOL

Hubby was a fan of ALF and one year I got him the talking Alf...it was fun...you slipped a tape in his back and he talked...moved his mouth to the tape...wiggled his ears and eyebrows. We got a little tired of that and so we started to experiment with different tapes. Had some Bill Cosby tapes and they are hysterical coming out of the face of Alf. We also had fun playing Willie Nelson tapes too. The face still worked in sync with other tapes. We had a lot of fun with that alien!
