how dreamy!!!

Oh,my how wonderful.

I have this CD and in my car a copy of it. I just love him --(sorry Celine).

There are some really good YouTube videos...

His Awake album is really great...and I was so disappointed to see so many
negative reviews on Amazon for this beautiful and creative music! I went on
there and gave them a piece of my mind!

Terminal Goosebumps!!! If I were young again, I'd be hopeless over him.
But as it is I am just very moved and "motherly"... and tearful when I hear
him. I am glad the younger generation has this wonderful talent to
relate to, with all the other crap that seems to be out there!

Thanks for the music thingey... do they have other things too,Alffe?

Sorry to get carried away! I can't help myself!:o

We saw him in concert last winter in Chicago and he is just fabulous! His stage show was a little too "glitzy" because I just wanted him to stand there and sing his heart out without any distractions. I just got his Christmas album. Mrs.D...you have great taste! :D

you know...

I saw a PBS show of his when he first started out. On it he said he does lighting
and set design. I wonder if he did some of that show you saw?

The AWAKE album has alot of his writing in it and he plays drums on some songs too.

I don't think the Xmas album is up to the standard of his others, or it is just me tired of the same songs. But it is good. I bought it too.

I just love him. I love driving the car to him too. He lifts ME up!;)

You know I have to agree with you about the Christmas album...it just isn't "special". He had a HUGE ever changing digital background while he was performing and I found it very distracting. All by itself it would have been interesting but not while he was singing. He also had a wonderful combo from So. Africa with him.

mrsD 12-07-2007 07:55 AM

oh, yes..

I like that S.African group too.

I have to agree with you. He came here in Feb 07, but I didn't go. I was working alot then, and very depressed. I totally share your feelings about the sensitivity and intimacy he creates in his songs. And I can see that being drowned out. But then on the other hand, he belonged/belongs to a rock band and has those youthful tendencies to make a splash.

I think he is just great. Never fails to raise those goosebumps on me. And he provides with music what we all should get...Raised up. (And NOT made angrier and meaner like much of today's youth seems to need.)
