Brazilian waxing?!

I think it's called that at least. Waxing it all off is what I'm referring to.

I'm wondering where to get this type of job done. What type of professional does one contact?

Yes it will be painful, but when you live in chronic pain daily, momentary pain doesn't sound so bad :)

I've done the eye brows. I've even done the top lip.......but the LOT?

All I can say is that you are a braver woman than I am.

watsonsh 01-14-2009 10:53 PM

Ok I've done it. *insert blushing here in case any of the guys read this*

Most better spas will have a waxing person that will do it.

It hurt  but the end result was worth the pain. :D

That's what I'm saying. End result is worth the temporary pain of the situation.

If you got it done more than once, did it actually become less painful with each follow up visit?

watsonsh 01-19-2009 03:48 PM

I had it done a couple of times and maybe it was a litte less painful but still hurt like heck.

OMG....I cannot imagine the pain. How do you stand it?

I'd probably come right up off the table! Temporary pain? Maybe.....but aren't you sore afterwards? I've had a baby without pain meds but I don't think I could do this. :o

Sore afterwards no, not really, maybe a bit stingy.

But the itching as it grows back.....unbearable.

I had my eyebrows waxed today. :D

Ain't gonna do the other.

You either have to do it all the time, or like Shappy said, itchs and stubble. You really have to watchout for ingrown hairs too. They do have lotion to help with that.

Years of teaching aerobics..yep...waxing was a ritual. I use to have my underarms done too.

My cousin does this and bless her. She's an Esthetician but also does waxing. Look, this is how I see it. There are only three people who will see me "down there" that I care about and that is me, Jim and my doctor. Anyone else, it doesn't matter what they think. I trim and shave where it's needed, sometimes I'll hot wax in the summer, sides only.

LOL Listen, my cousin told me how they do this type of waxing and I would die of embarrassment before they even got started, not to mention all the places that get waxed! I have a hard enough time going for my gyne appointments. lol

The only time someone needs to tell me to bend over or "spread em" is when I've asked them to kiss my behind or a gastro doc. ROTFLMAO

Leotards in the 80's and 90's didn't leave much to the imagination. Some were pretty darn thin. Seeing a hair poke through...gag. Plus I also taught water aerobics. Jumping around in a bathing suit...they tend to move. ;)

LOL.

No reason for me to do it now. Razors are just fine. I agree with ya Sandy.
