Anyone know if blood clots are connected with RSD?
 

Hi Everyone,

I haven't been around for awhile, been battling the beast! In and out of the hospital. Most recently been battling multiple blood clots. First in rt leg , now in rt arm. Just wondering if anyone knows if there might be a correlation to the RSD. I went full body a few months ago and this in itself has been a war. Now being attacked from an unknown enemy, and trying to come up with a battle plan.
Would appreciate any information any of you may have regarding this.

Blood clots in the limbs typically happen due to compromised blood circulation. So, rsd and blood clots would indeed go hand in hand for some. I think some are more at risk than others, such as people who have a history of family members with blood clots and those rsd'ers who can't move around, ie in a wheelchair and/or bedridden are at higher risk for blood clots. This is only based on what I have observed and pieced together over the past 7 yrs with rsd and my knowledge of anatomy.

I have researched and there is nothing out there on blood clots causing rsd....guess no one has gotten around to the obvious yet. LOL The only thing I have found referencing both is ruling out blood clots when it comes to a swollen body part and some medications that may cause blood clots.
