Fell Ice Skating, Think it's spreading

Hi guys, want some opinions on this.
I was ice skating yesterday and fell on my elbow. The area itself is bruised, but it feels as if that area has spread! It's spread down my area where you flex to show your muscles, don't know what that's called, but its in the right area of that. Could this be the rsd spreading? :(
thanks, Blake

I could be...but it could also just be sore. That's the hard thing with RSD...it's hard to know for sure especially after an injury. When mine spread...I know it was spread. RSD pain feels a certain way...it's different than other types of pain and I think it's truly sick that I can differentiate the "types of pain" that I have. And there are 3 varieties of RSD pain that I get...so I get to sort that out too.

Get yourself checked out by a doctor. We can't just assume it's RSD...because we could very easily overlook something easily treated. If it IS RSD then you want to treat that area aggressively and you may get it into remission quickly. Worth a shot. Definitely see your doctor.

Hey Blake,
You didn't say the area of your RSD so no telling at this point. Not all bruises become RSD and all RSD cases are bruises.
We do need to be careful not to further this monster that seems to go where it wants.
As Catra has stated, get a doc to check things out. It's always best to cautious....

Good luck...

Hi Blake! Sorry to hear you fell. I guess the good news is that you were feeling well enough to go ice skating! Good for you! I think it may be too early to say it is a spread of CRPS.I would be concerned that it could be broken. If pain and swelling are increasing rather than improving , go to doctor. Avoid ice!! Ice is very bad for anyone with CRPS. Keep the arm elevated when you can. Let us know how you are doing.
