Muscle Spasms in both legs

Has anyone had muscle spasms in both legs when you sit and or lay flat in bed?

Tonight again I have muscle spasms in both my legs. It starts in my left leg and then it stops then goes to the right leg.

My left leg spasmed up to my chest in a sitting position. I dragged myself to the floor in hoping to straighten it out ... NOT.... extreme pain that made me cry out.

When I prayed for relief and to get me to the bed to lay flat, after about an hour it subsided and then I went to get out of bed to get a glass of water, I fell to the floor and now my right leg is spasming.

I cannot straighten my foot, its like a foot drop. The pain feels like my hamstrings are soooo tight and the muscles surrounding the leg cant get relaxed and pain is excrutiating.

Been dx with RRMS, RLS, CCSVI, and severe AO, DDD, DJD, Periphrial neuropathy and not to mention just getting old, lol.

I have dealt with all the symptoms of the above but this is a new character that I do not want.

I do go to a chiropractor and a massage therapist regularly. They help get me aligned and moving. Yoga occasionally, careful mild stretching morning noon and night is a must.

And no I did not stretch too much. It just comes out of the blue and with a vengence.

I am on Neurontin, Ultram, occasional steriod injections when I go to the hospital that seem to help everytime.

I am a high tolerance pain person ,,, this is beyond my limit

Wondering

My son is having involuntary leg spasms...I don't know if this is similar to yours at all but we haven't gotten a diagnoses yet....

He says that his legs doesn't hurt when it happens
but..

his legs go numb and then the spasm happens and it'd numb after
and it can go into the opposite leg...

He says it feels like twisting...

We have had two eeg's and a mri that came out normal

Now they want to do a EEG Video Monitoring

I'm just wondering are you having any of these symptoms that he has described..if so, what tests did you get to get a diagnoses?
