No pain
Hi . Just joined the forum. I was diagnosed with sensory neuropathy on Thursday. Had a nerve and muscle study done. Seems to be an issue with my sensory nerves. My motor nerves show as being ok. Have had trouble walking for several months and the muscles in my calves and feet move involuntarily (twitch). I have no pain whatsoever. I looked up some medical sites and discovered that pain seems to be a symptom. Again I have no pain which doesn't make sense. Can you have neuropathy without pain? I am having a spinal tap and An MRI next week to try and establish a root cause.
Thank you, John |
Hi John, welcome.
Yes, you can definitely have neuropathy without pain, and I would be very thankful—it's not common. I hope that you never do experience the pain that many neuropathy patients suffer. You can find much information, support, and wisdom in the Peripheral Neuropathy forum. Doc |
