Pressure in right skull and heating in left side of body

This is Mrityunjay new member of this forum. I am a PhD student in Mathematics.

I am here for my personal neurological problem. I am getting asymmetric pressure in my head. Means to say I feel pressure in my right skull some times more some times less.
Earlier I was involved alternate nostril breathing and meditation practices without loosing sexual energy voluntarily. After practicing these things more than 5 years. I think, I have started to get head pressure because of these things, I am not sure.

I went to two different neuroloreducing.gist. They have examined physically. They say no bad symptoms. They say you have depression some times they say you correct your breathing and meditation practices. I have left alternate nostril breathing and meditation practices from more than one year. But still it is present. Whenever I try to run(breath alters) or try to concentrate pressure increases more. When I sleep right side(left skull up right skull down) then it increases more. Heat wave moves under skin from left feet to thigh then left side of my back. Some movement I feel in my right skull. It is like heat air is moving from left feet to right skull from the back. For reducing head pressure I walk bare footed on the ground with grass it gives relief.

I have gone through MRI. Nothing has come. No vomiting, no fever, eye movement and vision(I have myopia) is also ok. During these things I had also get some skin problem and hyper acidity and piles. Skin problem has gone after some medication. Medication was for fungal infection. I have used Onabet cream, and Terbinafine tablet for three month. For hyper acidity and piles I have used triphala churna of ayurvedic medicine, not skipping meal, drinking more water and everyday physical exercise, more fiber oriented food. Hyper acidity and piles has become normal.

But after one year of practices head pressure is not vanishing. It is coming and going.

Please help in this regards. I shall be highly obliged.

Hi mrityunjay23

Welcome to NeuroTalk - I hope that you find the community as knowledgeable and supportive as I have.

I use meditation/mindfulness/breathing exercises as part of my mental health self-care though they have not led to the sensation of skull pressure or the other signs that you have described.

One possibility (this is a long shot) is pseudotumour cerebri - it arises from abnormally high intracranial pressure.

It might be worth discussing this with your neurology care team - they should be able to check that possibility out.

All the best.

When i have gone to doctor they have examined my eye and its movement. It was fine. My lens power has get incresed from -2 to -2.5 within this year. I have gone through MRI of Brain. it has not shown any thing regarding eye. it has shown asymmetric ventricles and something in left skull. Doctor has told nothing serious. Should I go to neurologist again?

Because of coughing sneezing it increases. If I run then it increases. what about kundalini syndrome? it is also one possibility. no vimiting,no fever, eye was checked by my neurologist by Ophthalmoscopy.

If there is pressure due to increased CSF then it should not be location specific. I have pressure in right skull.

It might be an idea if you asked your doctor to refer you to a new neurologist (with copies of the MRI scans and other clinical data).

A "second opinion" could help in figuring out what is going on.

I went to neurologist they have prescribed funduscopy of my eye for BIH(pseudotumour cribri). They have done funduscopy of my eye nothing has been found related to neuro. They have find some other problem they have send me for oct and perimetry test.

Neurologist have find another problem that is straight cervical spine(straight neck). They have seen my previous MRI. Which contains MRI of brain and neck. So doctor has recommended some physical exercises to maintain neck curvature, pranayama and meditation. No other issue. I have left my meditation from 1 year before, now I think I shall able to return my meditation routine that is very nice. I am happy kiwi sir, I shall return to meditation practice. I have done one day it gives quite relief. Earlier, when I was doing pranayama and meditaion then it was increasing my head pressure. I was not able to sleep chest up. Yesterday, I have splept chest up with cervical pillow.
Any further suggestion...........
very very.. thank you

In my MRI my left brain is smaller in comparison to right brain. Can I make it symmetric means equal in size by external practices?

Mrityunjay23, as far as your spine is concerned it might be an idea if you got your doctor to refer you to a physiotherapist (called a physical therapist in some countries). A physiotherapist should be able to work with you on this one.

As far as I know there is no way of changing the sizes of the left and right brain hemispheres - they are set in the womb/early childhood.

Have you talked with your neurologist about the fact that your left brain hemisphere is smaller in comparison to your right brain hemisphere? If so, does s/he think this might be related to your symptoms and, if so, does s/he think that anything can be done about this in terms of your symptoms?

Neurologist himself said that you have asymmetric in terms of size of left and right brain. He told same thing which you are telling regarding asymmetric size of my brain. It set in womb.
I am doing neck curvature maintaining exercises prescribed by physiotherapist.
Sleeping with curvature pillow, some neck exercises with slow movement......etc

That is great that your physiotherapist has helped you with advice about your neck - mine has helped me in a similar way with advice about my chronic lower back pain.
