My cable company is horrible! what do I do?
 
I have had comcast for the last 4 years. 1 year before that I had adelphia and comcast bought them out. 2 years before that I had direct TV and while they were ok, it was a challenge with cloudy skies.

From day one when Comcast took over for Adelphia the quality of the service took a nose dive. I have every channel! I get every movie channel and every basic channel. I love tv! I have internet and phone thru them as well. I have had them out here year after year after year and the problems still are not fixed! im tired of this! My phone has an echo, my internet is spotty and slow and clunky for a cable line. My TV is just a mess. a pixelated mess. it switches from HD to analog at will, and from crystal clear picture to fuzzy and stuck.

I am having comcast come out ONE last time. I even have the "make it right" team involved for those last ditch customers. I am so tired of the service being spotty and haphazard. Since the choices are 1. comcast which is my ugly service now or 2. Fairpoint (which took over for Verizon) and they are constantly going bankrupt, and have been rated the WORST customer service in the land, not to mention the bad product. They also use Direct TV for a Cable provider or 3. I can break it all up and go to DirecTV as a private customer, and just unplug my phone in favor of a landline when the cell tower finally goes up. I can also use a Verizon wireless card for my computer stuff.

Anyone else frustrated with paying a great deal of money for bad service? I told DH I am going to put up a antenae and pull in the Free Channels and use Hulu and netflix. he is NOT tech savy, so he has no idea what I am talking about.

Any advice on how to get these monkeys to fix it?

We have Comcast only as TV.... I agree it is terrible.

I refuse to bundle with them. We have digital service, but often OnDemand is off. Or stutters, or the sound pops an annoying sound. Some channels never work right...like Nat Geo. which
pixelates constantly some days. Ours also flips the HD and back. With our new flat screen I found just moving the mode (we have 4) fixes that flip for that event only. Our old TV was a regular one, and when the HD flip occurred it would last almost all day with everything squished.

One day we lost all service, called in and they sent out a guy who had to climb the pole, only to find a previous worker had capped off our service instead of another! He showed us the cap device and took it with him to report.:rolleyes:

After more than 2 years we got an outside tech, and inside tech and a supervisor out here today. They fixed the cable by going back to square one and rewiring the whole house. The internet is faster, and more stable, but the phone still stinks! After all that the "make it right team" offered me $50 for my inconvience and then it has to be $25 this month and $25 next month. ARE YOU KIDDING?! She couldnt even offer me a free PPV movie ticket? Im so let down. Yes the cable is better, for now...but their attitude stinks! I iwll probably switch to DircetTV or something soon, but want to research my options first. I dont want to just jump from the frying pan into the fire. I MUST have a working phone since we dont have a cell signal out here, so I cant tolerate the attitude of well 2 out of 3 aint bad. OMG! I was so angry today when they left and it still wasnt completely fixed.

im angry, and let down. Customer service is really bad for them.

Cable was shining and awewsome for a few days and then...its back to being a POS! I cant stand it anymore! I am going to be forced to move away from Comcast. Their customer service is LOUSY! thier product is inferior, and I am tired of vague, round about answers, with a round robin of products that work today and are quickly broken tomorrow. I am so frustrated! I just want to watch TV!
