Medtronics misrepresents the problem of tolerance

Hello all,
I will be brief for now:
Mdtronics continues to tell half truths about the issue of tolerance with its pain pumps. They describe tolerance in quotes on their website,as if it isn't a real issue.
Before I for mine, I saw the main pain doc in Dartouth, who is rabidly against Medtronics. I didnt listen to him b/c the pain. He was right all along.
Currently, my doc straight up lies about tolerance and says it never has happened.
- why are doctors SO DARN unethical in pain management!!???

Welcome Next

As I read your post you spoke of two doctors, one who warned you and another who evidently did not. In your experience, at least one of the doctors was forthright, splitting your experience 50/50 which you follow with a generalization painting all doctors with a brush alleging all doctors are unethical when it comes to representations made. That does not seem to square with your experience.

While I will readily admit all doctors are human and susceptible to error, even in my profession the same is true, I have found that the doctors who actually cared for my needs were sincere, caring, ethical, concerned individuals who seemed to live as do I, first do no harm. The issue I had with some of the doctors with whom I interviewed was their outright refusal to treat me as my story reveals.... later to learn it was because I am a lawyer evidently. That ticked me off bigtime.

Regarding the doctors who ultimately and continuously did treat me I have the highest respect and gratitude, including Dr Sacha, Dr Mobley, Dr Jatana, Dr Davis, Dr Haussler, a host of nurses, my physical therapist, the litany of radiologists who ran films, whether xray, CT, MRI on me multiple times, my acupuncturists. I may have inadvertently omitted some who helped me, but my feelings of thanks extend to all of these.

I do feel for you regarding your experience, and will pray that somehow it comes into a point of resolution whether by revision or otherwise. It sucks terribly to be in pain, as I knew ever since my 2005 wreck, and at last found a decent means of management after all of my reparative surgery. The SCS has finally freed me from all pain meds. 28 surgeries in all after a serious wreck and hundreds of physical therapy visits.

Praying,
Mark56
