Would it be possible to post some idea of how lowered albumin levels might affect the absorption of some of the drugs we take? I know albumin is a blood protein, and I think I remember that at least some drugs bind to this, so wouldn't lower levels be indicative of less drug absorption?

And if this is true, then what happens to the rest of the drug?

Albumin does not absorb drugs... it distributes them (some).

Thanks for the article. I thought that drug binding to albumin, meant that the drug was distributed by it. Guess not... :)
