Cicadas

The cicadas have arrived:eek: Yuck!

I like the sound of them, though. It makes me think of childhood days, lying in the grass just watching the clouds go by.

I hate cicadas! They're so noisy!! Only thing worse is screeching children.

Me, too. Brings back good memories. :)

The noise can get on my nerves a bit. The last time we had them one fell in my mouth as I was leaving my building at school. You can imagine my reaction. I guess that is what I get for never shutting my mouth:rolleyes:

My mom lives in rural MS. I could hear the things over the phone while we were talking! Interesting thing was how many she said were just dropping out of the trees and sky.

We have them in southern Utah (fortunately, I live further north).

My Dad's hobby involved woodworking tools. The saws he used for years caused a hearing loss where he couldn't hear the noisy buggers, lol!
