Howdy

Hi Everyone,
It's Roz, glad I found you. I hope your pain levels are down. I had a CT and MRI of my Cervical spine. I believe I have what's called a Double Crush Injury. At the C5-6 my disc is hitting the spinal cord. I think it's causing numbness down my arms. Has anyone else had this problem. Hugs and Love to all of you, Roz

Hi ROZ aka buckwheat-
is that from the little rascals???
or the grain?
or your pillow?

LOL

I don't recall anyone specifically mentioning the disc hitting the cord but some have C spine problems along with TOS.
I have the osteophytes & something at C4/5/6 - but not symptomatic from those at all {YET}

So are you needing to have a surgery for yours?
or still in the investigating stage?
nice to see ya

good morning

a few years ago I had the same diagnosis. c5,6
The disc was encroaching on the nerves
that go through the foramin and so on.

The doc said I had radiculopathy that followed a dermatome pattern
so I had epidurals (3).
Turns out it was the TOS and RSD, not the disc causing the problems.
Most of us are walking around with an asymptomatic buldging disc.
Love, Hope :)

Hi Dawn,
I hope your pain levels are not in the upper range right now.

Hi Jo,
A dear friend used to call me buckwheat several years ago, it was from the little rasculs show. My MRI and CT scan shows the C4-5, 5-6, 6-7 on the right side where I had my fall which started this whole ordeal. Just the 5-6 on the left.

Hi Mark,
I had a M.D. appointment last week he mentioned that surgery was probally inevitable this was just a family Doc. that stated that. I see my Neuro. tomorrow. Who is very wise, even with RSD. I really hope the Epidurals will hold me out for a month anyway. But from the looks of the CT and MRI I need surgery.

Big Hugs, Roz

Hi Roz, good to see you again!

I don't have any experience with double crush, but wanted to wish you luck at your neuro appointment. Situation sounds scary! I'll be keeping you (and us all) in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Roz,

Sorry to hear you may be heading for more surgery.:( Are you able to distinguish the pain of the osteophytes hitting C4-5, 5-6, 6-7 from the pain of any residual TOS problems since your TOS surgery? Would you be able to use the same surgeon as you did for your TOS surgery? Good luck with your visit to the neuro! Will be interested in hearing what he says.

Hugs to you.

C5-6 conjoined vertebrae

Hi,

I have a congenital malformation of conjoined c 5--6 vertebrae with a rudimentary disk between the two. Perhaps this is the cause of my pain. My TOS surgeon adamantly told me that I did not have TOS because I failed surgery that I had last July. All my symptoms are back. But of course you can always injure a surgeon's ego right!!!! I think he was just upset that I had failed. I still question as to whether my rib has grown back and will be going for a chest x-ray ASAP. Went to see my doctor today so now I have consults going in for an orthopedic surgeon, a psychiatrist, a chronic pain specialist as well as a neurologist. I guess I'm going to be busy over the next six months or so. It just takes forever to get in to see anybody here in Canada. I'll let you know if anything gets found about the C5-6 issue..... it always was sort of a question as to whether it was TOS or that...... but I do have an extra cervical rib so seems to me unilateral pain with the injury on right side would be TOS. But what the heck do I know I'm just a nurse.

Hope all works out,

Victoria

Hi Roz..

I had been thinking of you and wondered how your appt with the neuro went.. I had the neurography repeated on the right brachial plexus a couple of weeks ago and find out the results this morning..
I hope your doing well and your pain levels are low..
((Hugs))
