Just for Today
 

I will live through the next twelve hours and not try to tackle all of life's problems at once. I will improve my mind. I will learn something useful. I will learn something that requires effort, thought, and concentration.

I will be agreeable. I will look my best, speak in a well-modulated voice, be courteous and considerate. I will not find fault with friend, relative, or colleague. I will not try to change or improve anyone but myself.

I will have a program. I might not follow it exactly, but I will have it. I will save myself from two enemies - hurry and indecision.

I will do a good turn and keep it a secret. If anyone finds out, it won't count. I will do two things I don't want to do, just for the exercise.

I will believe in myself. I will give my best to the world and feel confident that the world will give its best to me.

If I Had It To Do Again
 

If I had to live my life over again, I'd dare to make more mistakes next time.

I'd relax.

I would limber up.

I would be sillier than I have been this trip.

I would take fewer things seriously,

I would take more chances.

I would take more trips..I would climb more mountains, swim more rivers..

I would eat more ice cream and less beans -

I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I'd have fewer imaginary ones -

I'm one of those people who live seriously and sanely, hour after hour, day after day...

Oh, I've had my moments, and if I had it to do over again,
I'd have more of them..

In fact, I'd try to have nothing else.
just moments, one after another, instead of living so many years ahead of each day.

I've been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without clean clothes, a hair brush, a raincoat and a parachute.

If I had it to do again,

I would travel lighter than I have,

If I had to live my life over

I would start barefoot earlier in the spring,
and stay that way later in the fall,

I would dance much more..

I would ride more merry-go-rounds,

I would pick more daisies.
