Asking for prayer, for myself this time

I went yesterday for a healthy heart scan, a simple screening to detect calcium in the arteries. That test turned out just fine but they found a spot on my lung during the scan. It showed an 8mm ground glass opacity. I've never even heard of ground glass opacity and of course looked it up. I didn't like what I saw and didn't follow my own advice to not research.

I saw my doctor today and he sent me for a chest ct. I had that done today as well. Please pray with me that it will turn out to be nothing or something that is fixable. My doctor feels it may be OK but wont know for sure until we have the results. He said if it's bad we may have caught it early to have a better chance.

I cannot get sick. I need to be well to care for Jim. :( I will find out the results by Monday afternoon when I pick up copies of the ct.

I am hoping the doctor gets them sooner.

Anyway, thanks in advance.

Prayers already being said for you, Sandy.

You're one of the strongest women I've ever known. I have no doubt you'll get through this trial. You have lots of friends here praying for you.

Thanks everyone. I kind of feel silly asking for prayer for myself now. I've always been taught you don't ask for prayer unless it's for someone other than yourself. In many ways I am asking not only for me but for my family as well.

If this turns out to be nothing or something that can be cured than the prayers worked and that's all that matters.

Oh Sandy!

I can just imagine the inner turmoil you must be going through while you wait to hear.

Please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers. I'm hoping and praying that you don't have to wait that long to get your results, and when you do get them... that they will be insignificant and most importantly....benign.

I know how hard it is not to look things up on the Internet, but please try hard not to. You're only going to read about all the things that this is NOT!

Love 'n' hugs Sandy....

I spoke to the doctor this morning and told him the hospital was faxing over the report. He hasn't called me yet. Most likely wont know until Monday now.

Thank you for praying.
