Eye Twitch/Double Vision

Besides the burning feeling I get in my fingers, hands, arms and neck as well as the massive headaches I get at the back of my head up and behind my ears, I have been getting twitches on the left side of my face and my left eye blurs and I see maybe two or three seperate imagaes of the same item... when I close this eye(left) and look through just the right everything goes back to normal... before I bring this up to any doctor, I was wondering if anybody else over here has the same problem??? My original Dx: was TOS and have posted over here several times when I was diagnosed with CRPS

In addition to the burning sensations and swelling in my fingers, hands and arms, I now get color changes instead of just red now ash and blue/black and my skin seems to bruise and rip open very easily... guess I should get to the point does anybody else have these ongoing problems and if so what did your doctors say to this???

Any responses concerning this would be greatly appreciated and hope everyones pain levels are tolerable !!!

Mark

Hello there,

I often have twitching of my eyelids but usually when I am extremely tired, I get a lot of "floaties" in my vision and have been told that these are not an indication of anything terrible happening. I also get times when my field of vision is like looking through a broken mirror and I can not see for about 20 minutes to an hour. I was told by my neurologist these are "migraines" involving the optic nerve but they are not in themselves dangerous.
I would always advise though to never presume visual disturbances are from our CRPS as the symptoms are similar to other severe opthalmic problems such as detached retina.
I would definitely have a complete check up with an opthalmologist to reassure you even though it may not fix the problem!:(
Wishing you good luck
Tayla:hug:

Thanks Tayla... these do seem to be most prevelent during flares, especially when the occipital headaches are at a high. I do plan on seeing an eye doc as it has been several years! What is the big deal in seeing another doc... lets see 7 new ones in about the past year:confused: . I am doing a trial on a pain pump on May 7 so will see if this helps any, cause probably will not get in to see an opto. before than.

Hi Mark,
It's just me. It sounds like Goober brought along a friend.: Their is such a dark side to him.

Tayla is right, you need to get to the eye DOC.

Hang in their mate. Hugs, Roz

migranes? ocipital pressure?

I get that effect sometimes when I get a migrane, even went completly blind for 14 minutes once (pre-migrane symptom) hmm wonder why I DON"T get migranes since RSD 2 years ago.. I had one since, mabie 2-3 months after getting RSD?.. usualy I was getting one every 2-3 months before for years like clock werkx.

Anyway I would think that just as the RSD cramps up your legs or rt arm was it? (sory memory) so there is layers of the sticky stuff like what ya see under chicken skin [facia?] all around yr muscles and throughout the brain an body, and there is a pulling and a tightening pressure I think can build up around yr ocipital nerve area in yr head, very much like a cramping or stretching sensation as you would get in any other body part with RSD. (Ocipital nerve is at the back of the head). And here is where I tell you I am not a doctor.. so yah like I just said bud just my thoughts an rambles.

I also had a ticked muscle tick in my left lower eye that almost vibrated my vision it lasted for just over 3 weeks:eek: last May very annoying! then it just went away.. now I notice I have one 1/2 way down my lower lip... whats up with that?

Sory to ramble yr post an I hope yr day is going well Mark.
Hugs,
Sandra

I was wondering about the eye twitches too... because I have started experiencing them, and recently have also developed migraine headaches. Anyone know if the two are related?

Interesting thread, and it was helpful to read!
