Will I loose my SSD if...

I have come to learn
My previous place of employment
I had contributed into my pension
There is 6000 dollars I was told I could
roll over into a new job
Not in the cards
When calling the department
I am a N.J. resident
MOBS told me it would
be at a 20% loss
I will now also apply for SSI
As everything I read in my Medicare book
I am eligible
But still wondering
How can I retrieve the money in my pension plan
And not loose my SSD
Must I wait till retirement age
Thanks

Legal Aid?

Hi Eva,

You pose an important question.
Mz Migraine has given a link to information.

I am wondering if your state has Legal Aid offices/services available?
Sometimes, Legal Aid offices can help with legal questions at no charge.
In some states, Legal Aid also has a Disability division.
