Help Regarding Scalene Muscle Blocks

My surgeon wants to see the effect of Middle Scalene Muscle block, in order to see if I am a good candidate for surgery. So I have questions if anyone knows from experience:

1) For how long does the muscle becomes relaxed after injection? days? weeks?
2) Any dangers?
3) After the block effect is over, what happens to the injected muscle?
does it return to the way it was?

Our search tool using "scalene block" should find older posts on that topic, I recall reading some but it was quite a few years ago..

Thanks. according to what I found it is not dangerous since it is only muscle. BUT: I couldn't find for how long does the injection effect lasts, and when the effect even start - does it start immediately?

The effectiveness duration probably varies per person & skill of provider doing the injection.. I think effects start quickly..
There's different kinds of block substances they can use..
