What do you all think of this information?

I just got this in my email. It's a link to a site by William Campbell Douglass.

He says to eat butter, eggs, whole milk, etc. He says if you buy his reports (don't worry, I'm not buying anything), you'll live longer.

He talks about how women need the hormone Testosterone (only in a different strength than men).

And he seems to think we should all be taking creatine.

I'm am dying to hear what all you people think about this site!!

Well... I look at it this way - the foods part anyway - I think eating "real" foods vs chemically altered/fake or diet foods has got to be better for us.

But I don't know about all his other ideas

I agree about the foods. I don't eat anything processed, or chemically altered. However, if Alan ever ate butter, eggs and cheese, I believe his doctor would have a stroke.

They are always talking "NO CHOLESTEROL"

So we don't eat anything with Cholesterol.

But doesn't the body need SOME CHOLESTEROL??

We once went to a nutritionist and holy cow, did we change our eating habits.

Bye bye went the red meat. Hello went the fish.

I happen to like this but Alan finds it very hard to give up all the 100 calorie packs, etc. Now if he only ate one, I mean, who cares.

I found out he'd eat 6 at night.

No good.

He just admitted he has a big problem with cravings. (I don't).

He said to me "I don't know how you do this, you don't eat all the time, how do you do this"? Honestly, I couldn't answer him.

I have changed my thinking, I don't eat after 7 . I most certainly don't put honey, or eat sugar because I'm a diabetic.

Maybe that's it. He has a hard time giving up the sugar.

I gave it up 20 or so years ago when I found out I was diabetic.

Didn't stop me from pigging out at night with chips and dips, and the ocassional yodels, but SALTY SNACKS WAS MY DOWNFALL.

But I don't think that way anymore.

He just shakes his head and goes "I can't do it, I have all these cravings".

I wish I could help him, but I can't.

How do you all stop your cravings when you get them?? (If you indeed get them??)

Oh yeah I get them LOL

usually I go with it and eat if it in the house -but I don't totally pig out on anything.

the cholesterol thing can go either way I think - I have high #'s but not taking any statins - by choice.

melody, my cravings for sweets is gone since i starting taking the cinnamon supplements.

before, i would rather have dessert first, then see if i had room for dinner. :p

Alan told me he could eat all night long. I said "are you hungry?" and he said "No, it's a compulsion thing"

He eats a good dinner but then when he sits in front of the tv, he gets the munchies.

He has to stay off of his feet because of the foot ulcer, so he can't go to the gym or go for walks. It really is not his fault. I completely understand this.

I said "wouldn't you like a piece of fruit later?" and he said 'it wouldn't do it for me, I need the snacks'.

Well guess what?? there are NO snacks in the house. Just fresh fruit. So if he wants a fresh juice thing, I'll make it, otherwise, he'll just have to learn to control himself.

I mean, he lost 75 lbs. He really doesn't want to put it back.

Good Lord.
