This happens with brand name drugs too... more often than is generally realized.

1) Paxil CR (the new form put out by Glaxo after Paxil's patent ran out) was subpotent and not working for months before caught by the FDA who shut that line down for quite a while until the dosage form was reformulated)

2) Schering Drugs was making inhalers with no active ingredients in them. Vanceril, Proventil inhalers.

This was rather unprecedented!

Of course vaccines get recalled all the time. Just type in "vaccine recalls" into Google.

Manufacturing is difficult and complex... all medications, vaccines, and supplements have possible manufacturing issues at one point or another. And China is another thing altogether...as they adulterate intentionally some supplements and herbs that are exported with serious RX drugs added to them to beef them up.:rolleyes:

This is so scary...for this supplement, others, and even foods. We never know what we are putting into our bodies. I try not to stress over it, research a company the best I can and then...PRAY OVER IT AND SWALLOW. :D
