I was approved for ssdi in California last year. Thanks to a past work history i receive a little more than alot of people I know. Now i came up for review last month and filled out the long form. I was suprised i just received another form called "adult function report form" and a form for my mom to also fill out. Any tips on answering the questions ? Any tips for my mom to answer her form?
Im very nervous as I really do need this benefit. I have severe ptsd and cannot work. Any tips will be appreciated. ..

I checked out the form online & the questions asked appear to be pretty basic.
Answer the questions to the best of your abilities and be honest. The form comes w/a section on what to do if you need help.

As for the form your mother received, you never said what the form was. Name of form?
Have you checked the SSDI website?

Receiving the Long Form CDR after a year means SS believed that there was a good chance for you to improve and be able to return to work. Hopefully you've continued to see all your medical sources frequently and that you're compliant taking your meds. Beyond that, just be thorough filling out required forms.

ok

i dont doubt what you say but my paranoia is kicking in. ssa is under pressure to conduct review. more cdrs. cdr used to mean continueing disabilty review. now it is code for "purge the rolls"

The short form isn't really even a CDR. Those that have a cessation of benefits generally fall into categories. 1)They stop seeing their docs for conditions SS expects them to try and aggressively treat. 2) They start working and assume that so long as they stay under the SGA amount, it won't be a problem.

Those that have a cessation have an ability to appeal
