Just wondering if this works, and if so, whether everyone has tried it.

Someone suggested it does, and I want everyone healed...

I did some research into NCR.

First, the very little that is published about it is from those who make money doing it. An MD has critiqued it and listed some serious complications from the Nasal Restructuring.

Second, It appears to be a procedure that is based on Cranial Sacral Therapy, Bilateral Nasal Specific Therapy and some other 'alternative' modalities.

It has an intend of repositioning the sphenoid bone, a bone that is a small part of the eye orbits and extends to the sides of the skull behind the eye orbits. It has Greater Wings that make up parts of the skull in front of the temporal bone. The therapy tries to move this bone to cause the other bones/plates of the skull to reposition properly.

There is serious concern that the cranial bones are fixed since mid to late childhood and this procedure only ends up traumatizing these bones.

Regardless of the practicality of the mechanics of NCR, there are a few tell-tale warnings.

First, the claims to treat everything from Alzheimer's Disease to Whiplash is a violation of FDA regulations. A simple modification of the claims to "reduce the symptoms of A to W" would avoid this illegality. The device inserted in the nose is not FDA approved nor is it FDA exempted as is common with alternative therapy devices.

Second, the inventor/developer has a long list of failures and struggles with authorities and regulations. He appears to have continued looking for his Golden Goose to lay his Golden Egg. The certification requires a seven day course for $10,000. The certification sounds more "pay to play" that any effort to teach mastery of a discipline. I would bet that much of the course involves how to promote the practice of NCR.

I would like to see some 'scientific method' double blind studies.

There are saying to keep in mind regarding such alternative treatments:

caveat emptor ..... Let the buyer beware.

and

A fool and his money are soon parted.

Some treatments have very minimal risk to the patient except to the patients purse. This one sounds a bit riskier.

How can it traumatize bones if they are fixed ,do you mean weaken the fascia / connective ?

This thread is almost 4 years old. Jeffrey has not been around in years. The facial bones can be fractured. The cranial bone sutures close firmly by the first few years of the 20's at the latest. Any movement would require breaking those sutures.

A google search will lead you to lots of information.
