Clove oil for tooth pain, to sedate the nerve within the tooth.

I'll have to look up the oregano ... I used it a decade ago, I just don't remember its uses.

Not for tooth pain, I know about clove oil for the pain, for tooth infection.

You probably should see a dentist if you have a tooth infection.

I wasn't asking about going to the dentist, because I'm back and fort from two dentists who don't know if I have an infection or not, so I thought maybe somebody have some positive experience with oil of oregano. Thank you.

O.K. I see where you are coming from. Can't blame you for asking if anyone has had experience with oil of oregano. Hopefully, someone can help you.

Hi, sue,

I just came across a couple of references.
One is oil pulling with coconut oil and oil of oregano.

Another is oil pulling with fermented cod liver oil. Must be fermented.

nyuszisue,

There is no herb or other that can cure a tooth infection. Some things may <<temporarily>> reduce the inflammation, but the infection will still be present. The species of bacteria that reside inside of an infected tooth will become varied and profuse. The same is true for an infection in the jaw bone after a tooth has been extracted.

Oil of oregano, garlic, turmeric, clove oil, etc.... are all great properties for reducing bacteria and inflammation. In cases other than teeth or jaw bone these things can eliminate certain types of bacterial infections. Depending on the severity and location of the infection, most of the time they have to be used in quantity and longevity to be truly affective and usually topically and internally.

I've been using Oil of Oregano now for a couple months and I believe with good results for my dental issue. I make up a solution and add drops of OOO to my solution and also taking 1-2 now foods softgels daily. I make up the solution for my neighbor who has 3-4 areas in her mouth with some pain issues and she's gone thru major dental work/crowns in the last couple yrs. And still has pain. I have one area that has been an issue for about 10 yrs it seems.

I am worn out with doctors. I know this post is older but maybe you will see it. C

There is tons of info on this oil and I like this overview...remember, it is strong and best to dilute as mentioned. I buy a diluted product and still dilute it more in my solution I make up.
