I love finding new toys...

Especially something that will help me with cooling off in the heat. :) Stumbled across a sports towel called Chilly Pad by Frogg Toggs.

Forgot my cooling scarf yesterday when we went out for some errands. Before we left one of the stores to spend some time outside, found this on our way to the check out. It almost reminds me of one of those chamoise towels hubby uses on his car to dry it off, LOL.

Basically, just soak it in cold water, squeeze the excess water out, and go. Had it on my neck outside for about an hour yesterday, and it worked surprisingly well. Just run it under cold water again to recharge it.

Anyone else find some neat ways to keep cool this year? :)

yes. i found a cooling collar that works the same way.
i found it a couple of yrs ago at walmart and it was under $5.00.
also works surprisingly well for being a rather small device.

i don't care what i look like as long as i can stay cool.

I'd never heard of these, I need to go shopping again. I hate to shop.

I see there are different brands too. Anyone try one other than the Chilly Pad?

I see Walmart sells one by Cramer. Anyone know if this works too?

Thanks for bringing my attention to these.

I found an evaporative cooling towel... like a chamois... at Harbor Freight Tools of all places! It's called "Chill Out" and is 33" x 13" in size. It's a pretty light blue color.

It comes in a plastic storage container to keep it moist between uses. It is also machine washable. I think the price was around $10.

I haven't used it yet, but I'm glad to see someone else having good luck with a simiilar product.

I went one better. We bought a Nintendo Wii earlier this week. My wife and I went bowling for 3 games and played 5 games of Tennis last night and never left the house. It is a suprisingly good upper body workout...we both worked up a sweat playing Tennis, and it sure beat trying to go out and exercise in 95F weather!

I have had cooling collars. One leaked really bad and the other one I have yet to use. I hope it works better than the first!
