Long Time no Post

It has been YEARS since I last visited!! Probably because it's been years since I felt like this (all the prickly, burny, numb tired legs and arms).

I dont even remember what my name was then.

Doydie - I remember you from the OLDSchool MS Chatroom.

Anyway, I've decided to go back to a neuro and see if anything is different than a few years ago.

It's been a good 15 years since the neuro first told me I might have MS. He said "Just go on with your life and try not to think about it" (OK doc).

"It might be years before you get a definate dx. " (still waiting)

I have actually gone for very long periods, months, years without thinking about it. Until I feel weird. Now I seem to have had an "attack" about a month and a half ago. It lasted a couple weeks. got better. Now it's another bad week. I also started in a new more stressful position at the same time. (hmmm)

So my appt with the new neuro is in a month and I thought that just in case I get a dx this time, it would be nice to have a support group already established. Kinda like insurance I guess.

Good to be back!!!

Sorry you are having some repeat problems, but glad you found your way back. It was good to have some one say they remember me. Sometimes I feel like a little spot on the wall and no one notices me.

All those prickly sensations are some of my most bothersome things. When I see so many people that can't walk at all, my prickly legs don't seem so bad. But they sure are bothersome at times. I guess the thing I hate the worst is my fatigue. You just have to find a new 'normalcy' to your life. I still have a good life, it vastly improved when i quit work. Funny how you are so much healthier when you are able to quit work.

Oh, I love cookies and cream ice cream!!!!!!

Just realised you are a hoosier too! Go Colts!! I live near Fort Wayne. I actually attend a lot of festivals in Southern Indy - Like The Covered Bridge Festival.

I still work full time. I could definatly see benefits in not but I want to as long as I can. I have a desk job so its not physically demanding. Couldn't do it if it was. Plus I still dont have a dx.

It's hard to feel like this and not have an "official" reason.

If nothing shows on the MRI after 15 plus years of symptoms what will that mean?!?

All ice cream is my big weakness. Edy's double fudge brownie is awesome too.

BTW - I was sooo confused this morning... I was trying to log onto brain.hastypastry.net/forums and it didn't let me. It looks just like this one. But it is the one that john lester used to run. Have you been there?

doydie 02-10-2007 11:30 PM

Braintalk is still run by John. This one is run by some one else, name evades me right now. It's Dr. somebody. A lot of the features are exactly the same. You know brain talk was run out of a very small space and just outgrew its capabilities. Well it went down for a long and I mean long time. So this forum came about to help out. I had really high hopes that it would become a major forum. But when Brain talk came back online, most of the old members went back. It's to confusing to remember so many people and their particulars so I stayed here. I still read over there because there is a wealth of information, but I like the interactions over here.

You have the same addy for Braintalk that I do so I don't know what happened.
