Burning eyes? tip of nose?

I'm new to this (10 m0nths) and my current neurologist has not heard of these symptoms so I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced them . Along with the arms and legs/feet isues I now have burning feeling in my eyes. Hard to explain, not dry eyes but slight burning feeling on the surface of the eye and corners of the eye, also central lips and tip of my nose. The nose can also get very ice cold in cold temperatures in a room.
The neuropathic symptoms are so weird that it is impossible for me to know what is neuropathy and what else might be going on with my body.
Current diagnosis is small fiber and/or autonomic neuropathy. I have had extensive testing.
I'm also having muscle pain if I do much of anything, for example planted some flowers is a flower bed so no real digging ( 20 minutes). Woke up 3am in extreme pain in both arms equally and biceps were firm to touch and hurting but it was not muscle cramps. One of my worst night ever.
Anyone had that experience?
I am not taking any medication as they have all made me feel exhausted ,weak and stupid. Now that's no help.I've never done well with meds even before all this started.
I am so thankful for this forum.

Actually, my right eye also started burning this week too.

May I ask what precipitated your symptoms? I do so because I have very similar ills as you - small fiber neuropathy in abdomen, legs, arms, back and face, which keeps spreading and getting worse. Through a new PM doctor, I was recently diagnosed with a pre-RSD condition as all my burning pain started after a surgery. With RSD, time is of the essence. The pain can be reduced if treated early enough.

I too love this site, which is still sort of new to me. I'm on it all the time...

you might want to read this:

Omega-3 fatty acids maintain the mucous membranes, all thru the body.
They may help your eyes as well.
This product in the link is very expensive, but you can do it yourself,
with less $$.

My EFA thread:

has much more information--

I suffer epischleritis, which is inflammation of the thin outer tissue of the eye, and can cause pain around the eye. If you have any inflammatory processes ongoing in your body, yes, the eyes can be affected.

I recommend you see an opthamologist to rule out anything that could become serious.

eyes

Its not dry eyes, very difficult to describe except if you have facial burning than it is exactly the same sensation. Not really painful but it seems like every week something new happens to my body.
The muscle pain got worse again today during the day, biceps and triceps, very strange. spoke to my Neurologist who had no idea what was going on.
I have the strong feeling that I should be doing more to find out what is wrong with me and it gets very intense at night. However I have no clue what to do next. I can understand why people give up going to doctors.

savannah, make sure you are well-hydrated. the muscle symptoms remind me of when i went sea-kayaking years ago, and thought I had literally destroyed my under-developed arms. . . .only to find relief after taking a good long drink of water. Dehydration can cause muscle aches, itching, burning, and nausea, among other symptoms.

Savannah- I also have some of these same symptoms and am going crazy trying to figure them out. I have left eye burning and nose burning, very, very cold nose as well as smelling smoke; I also have the following older symptoms: bilateral ulnar and median neuropathy, bilateral foot neuropathy, facial neuropathy on right (occasional trigeminal neuropathy). I take Neurontin 1200 mg at night and Cymbalta during day. I have had five nerve compression surgeries.
Supposedly I have a hereditary polyneuropathy (but I do not know anyone in family who have anything like this). The left facial nose/eye symptoms are new and I have not told neurologist yet. Have you found anything that helps- how are you doing now? I have also had some strange heart rate problems with changing positions or even raising my arms.
