Sorry to have been gone all summer

Seems like summer would be quieter for me but no...it involved a lot of running around this time...daughter needing to go to camp, and grandparents, and here, and there, and now we are gearing up for school starting after Labor Day...boy...inbetween things I have had really bad attacks where I couldn't do anything at all during the day and just a little better at night because it is so daggum hot and humid here...on top of that I haven't been able to sleep well, and I just am tuckered out completely...been trying to rest during the day but it dont seem to be helping at all...oh well, at least I'm here, and the Rebif seems to be working cuz I'm not stumblin like I normally do so that is a good thing!!!

Talk at you soon,

Jewels:)

Hi Jewels,
You have a lot on your plate. It's good to hear that the Rebif is helping you get through all that piles up on us. This hot weather gets to all of us. I hope you get more sleep and start to feel better soon.

we are supposed to be getting a break in the hot weather here this week...from the high 80s into the 70s, but just as humid because of the thunderstorms...I would love to get out of this state (Michigan) because of the humidity, and go to North Carolina where I used to live, but that will have to wait until my daughter is grown and out of the house...wow...that sounds weird just saying that...she is only 13 right now, and so it seems that college can't be far off...and then who knows where she will be after that...I would love to have her live with me til she finds the love of her life and gets married...for now I am enjoying her spark of life and the fun that I have when she graces me with her presence...I sometimes kid her about liking her friends more than me...but I know that it's summer and she wants to be out and about--can't blame her because during the winter she holes up in her room and doesn't make an appearance because she gets so cold...she is very thin and likes to keep bundled up...sometimes during these hot days she actually wears a sweater and I don't understand how she can do that since I am so warm...but it doesn't phase her...we are in the process of packing because we are going to move into a larger apartment that has the washer dryer hookups in it...and also has a nice pantry area that is large enough to store stuff in...plus there is a little nook and secret hiding places that we can store stuff that we can't do here...I don't look forward to moving but I do look forward to having some extra room!!!

Yes, I am glad the Rebif is working for me too...seems that all I was doing was stumbling around and not getting anywhere very fast, and was using my wheelchair a lot...now I don't use it a lot since I can walk better, but I am keeping the chair because I don't know how long it will be before I need it again...

Well, don't have any more news...will write again later...

Jewels I hope the move to the new, larger place is going to be really enjoyable for both of you, once you move in that is.:)

Is it far from where you live now? Does your daughter have to change schools or leave her friends?

If your daughter is cold in the Winter, could you move to North Carolina before she goes to college? Just curious. :)

Jewels 08-23-2009 05:22 AM

Yes, I am looking forward to the move. The apartment is here in the complex, so all I have to do is move from one apartment to the other...so shouldn't need a moving company, but will enlist the help of some of my friends at church...that way I can rent a UHaul and it will be much quicker than before...and I am going to move my kitchen first and then the hall closets, since I know where they will be going...all the rest of the stuff will go into boxes and moved...then I will be able to come and clean the apartment so it will be ready for inspection...and since the move is in the complex, no, she won't have to change schools or find new friends...that is a plus also...

no, not before college, because Myriam wants to go to a college here in town, so she can be close to her friends...I will probably move down to NC once she is through with college and can get an apartment on her own with the work she does...

the weather here is cool right now, and only supposed to last through tomorrow, but had a few very mild days where I needed a sweatshirt to get through...only in the 60s for daytime highs...that was very nice...

Jewels 08-24-2009 02:35 PM

wow...only 10 more weekdays (not including weekends here) before Myriam goes back to school...8th grade this year...can still remember her birth and the facts surrounding it...like it was the first day it snowed here in Michigan that year...and can remember how long it took to get the feeling back in my legs after the epidural...boy, that was a tingly sensation...but I will be missing her for sure...this summer she has been gone as much as she has been here...so I am not wanting her to go to school this soon!

Oh well, it will give me a chance to pack things up without being so pressed for time to do something with her while she is here...I'm sure I will get used to having her gone again soon...and soon will have the nice new apartment to kick around in...that will be nice as well...roominess that we don't have here in this apartment...

I'm just going to miss her hanging out with her mom...and liking it!!!
