Hi Twigs
hope you dont mind me commenting here, but sleep is a big issue for my husband and son with Tourette Syndrome

have you ever tried melatonin

we find that it is most effective at low dose (600 MICROgrams) before bed
because it is a natural substance, usually produced by the pineal gland when it gets dark, many in this modern world have trouble synthesising it because of our electric lights, LED displays on clocks , TVs etc all of which give that glow that inhibits natural melatonin production

The melatonin supps are available at all drug strores, health stores, and even many supermarkets

Here is some general info on it
and
here is a list of possible drug interactions between supplements and meds

HTH

thank you for the suggestion of melatonin. I will tell my friend about it and the low dosage.

Every med has side effects. Often the side effects are worse than the ailment itself...
