Does a Full moon and /or barometric pressure changes affect you?
Just curious.. seems the full moon has started affecting me this last year.. Pressure drops noticeable the last 2 years...
No direct pain areas- more of an overall can't get comfortable, restless legs , internal pressure feeling...affects sleep. When barometric pressures rises it goes away.. Myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) with some symptoms of fibro also.. Myofascial pain syndrome - Google Search |
Ramp up the Magnesium, Jomar.
For me - Yes and yes, usually. My experience is more about joint and muscular pain, particularly joint pain, when the barometric pressure is low but this year it's been complicated by my Immunotherapy which has caused more joint and muscle pain that I ever imagined. So, it's my new baseline I guess. We've had some very low pressure systems this summer but I didn't notice much difference this year because I seem to be in so much pain all the time. Before this I was able to notice the difference. My body also "knows" when the moon is waxing. Some things are difficult to describe but that feeling of restlessness you mentioned is a definite "Yes". I do deal with RLS as you do though so maybe it's a fluid issue. I try to up the magnesium and have low salt diet (hard to do eating legumes etc) and no added salt and make sure I have empty bladder. I remember we talked in the TBI/PCS forum one time about headaches/migraines and how they related to changes in barometric pressure. This is just an interesting piece not specifically related to what you are dealing with but you might like to read it. https://www.cmaj.ca/content/cmaj/180/8/809.full.pdf The meteorology of the human body Higher temperatures lead to more severe headaches – Harvard Gazette Higher Temps = more severe headaches Blame it on the weather? Jomar, have you had your serum ferritin levels checked recently?
I was thinking about my family problem with ferritin storage issues and how it's related to RLS and also read just now about myofascial pain syndrome and possible Iron deficiency. |
Barametric pressure does.

Barometric pressure changes
Yes. Personally I get terrible headaches with weather changes.
I have palatal myoclonus tmj and chronic fatigue.. My PM started in my 20s but it just seems worse now. The headaches are terrible and I am just exhausted and so tired of the popping in my ear |

Jomar,
this is not related to the barometer really, but I thought of you after I was just checking through some really old threads to try to get some ideas to help deal with my unrelenting pain. I found a really old post from Doody talking about how she puts her blankets in the dryer for short while so that they're warm when she goes to bed. It's probably not as cold as it was for you now, but I remembered you saying once how you get so much pain from the cold. I thought this was a great idea. |
Now that spring is near, I'm feeling much better, fewer low pressure fronts coming thru..
