Scratching an itchy scalp- big no-no?

Been a while since I posted. Hope you are healing well.

I don't scratch my head much, but couldn't help myself today- really dry & itchy. Maybe I need to get aloe vera gel again- it seemed to help.

I guess scratching is putting pressure on the skull, which increases the headache? Just wondering if anyone else has run into this.

Thanks-

I have to be careful because if I scratch too vigorously, I end up shaking my head and causing a sub-concussive movement. I had to learn to be much more careful when I an drying my hair with a towel.

Scratching can cause an increase in blood flow. That is why scratching an itch works. This increased blood flow may be causing the head ache.
