Judylouwho - bringing you up here

Judylouwho is a new member who posted in the middle of another thread. I did not want her post to get lost, so if you don't mind, I am reposting it up here for her as she may not be familiar yet with how to post a new thread. Here it is:

Hi Michelle....and welcome to neurotalk. I'm afraid you have found yourself in a forum that deals with thoracic outlet syndrome, and you may want to be somewhere else, considering your issues are dealing with your back, hip, knee and leg and not the thoracic outlet and nerves there (in the neck area) which deals with the UPPER extremeties.

Have you been diagnosed with TOS or do you fit the symptoms?

The listing of all forums is here: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/index.php and perhaps you can browse thru a forum dealing with back/hip/knee pain??? Or use the "search" function there and search for "sciatica" and see what forums people are discussing that part of the anatomy in.

Whenever I have had hip/leg pain it's been a weird type of pain that my doc says is bursitis. I get it in the hip and in my shoulder. When it's in my hip, I can BARELY EVEN WALK! Just stepping down hurts so bad I want to fall down. Usually standing up and putting light pressure on that side a little at a time helps. I stand by a sofa and hold on to it, supporting myself with my GOOD leg, but letting the bad one bear weight a little at a time, just until it hurts, then letting off of it for a bit and trying again a bit later until its worked out.

But for some reason I think you've found the wrong board...or I'm just wrong and you'r ein the RIGHT board and I'm in the wrong place. Could be. I'm on so many meds thesee days, I often find myself lost!

Hugs to you sweetie, and I hope you get better soon!

Hi Michelle,

I'm so sorry for your circumstances. I can imagine how tough that must be for you.

I think Lisa M. is right. You are in the right place; Neuro talk communities can offer you lots of insights and resources, but in the wrong forum.

If you go back to the inital site and look through all the other forums, you will probably find one that relates to back injuries, or lower spine conditions.

Best of luck to you and if you need more help finding your way around the place, just post here again and we will help you find the forum you are looking for!

G :)
